    Dust Cap

I forgot to put it on my junkyard list and I could not find the thread or remember what I was looking for, I may be heading to the junkyard tomorrow so if I do I’ll grab them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dust Cap

If you’re still looking I can get the dust caps off of a Comanche in the junkyard next time I go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’m just temporarily in possession of it. I’m the middle man for a friend. I am still on the search for a black 10 slot grill to return it to factory, but it seems to be a difficult task to find one that isn’t broken. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. carried a heavy load home today look at that sucker Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Ran out of time to get stuff I’ll probably see what people might want and go back and get what I can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. So when I bought the truck it has a solid rear window, then I wrecked it and could only find sliding rear windows, well I got a solid rear window today. Not sure when I’ll get around to putting it in, but I also got some other goodies that I haven’t really seen before. Along with that I got most of a red interior, one tail light, and a Comanche badge that was before I got there and after. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Noticed you added those little reverse LEDs, but the stock reverse lights don’t look like LEDs really. I swapped some LEDs in my stock housings and it made a huge difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Replaced the exhaust manifold and the new one leaks worse than the old one. I think the flange on the new manifold is a little too thin so the washers don’t make great contact. I’ll probably try snugging the bolts some more and hope that fixes it, but even with that the new exhaust is much quieter without all the crappy leaking joints I put together (it was quick and meant to be temporary). I’ll never understand the desire to do exhaust with prebent stuff. Between the time and money I’d rather just take it to an exhaust shop. The guy down here did header to tailpipe for $125 mandrel bent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Personally I beat my Cherokee pretty hard with 35s on a locked D30 and a locked 8.25. I have broken a few D30 shafts and do carry spares, but for 37s D44 front and rear would do pretty well I'd say. The swap I would like to do is JK D44 front and rear. The Rubicon rear axle is 32 spline and all JK 44s have the bigger (8.8" or 8.9" can't remember off the top of my head) ring gear with a D60 sized pinion. Another common swap I see is a waggy 44 in the front paired with an ford 8.8 or ford 9". Isuzu dana 44s are also a close match in width and have the big ring and pinion that the JK 44 has. Personally my roommate has almost completely convinced me to get a Rock assault Tacoma width front housing with a stock tacoma rear with factory e lockers front and rear for 37s on my cherokee. He and all the guys he wheels with run 36.5+ tires and beat them (trailer queens) and his buggy is the only one he's seen break a rear 30 spline shaft. So to sum everything up, there are tons of options, tons of factors, and pretty much all require modification of some sort.
  12. here was my 1970 (I’m pretty sure I may have the year wrong) used it to pull that trailer around a bit. Never got around to fully restoring it like I would’ve liked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. So to get the pedals back at the correct height you can either use a spacer and extend the rod or you can install without a spacer and cut the seam? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I have a 4 pane sliding rear window, and I think I’d like to go back to the fixed window the truck had when I bought it. Although the sliding window is nice and useful on occasion I think I prefer the look of a fixed window. I’d like to trade within reasonable driving distance if someone happens to have a fixed window and would like a sliding window. I’m not really interested in purchasing a rear window unless the price is really right. I don’t have a picture of it right now, but it has very light tint (hardly noticeable unless the window is open and you look through both panes) with a functioning latch and doesn’t leak. I can get pictures in the daylight if anyone is interested near Upstate,SC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I would buy some manual cranks for 1 piece windows if they weren't an astronomical price. I like the windows on my cherokee much better, and the seals and stuff are alot easier to find in good condition.
  16. I don’t like the 2 spoke wheel my truck came with very much. I do like the 3 spoke wheels, but from what I’ve heard they’re the same size as the 2 spoke wheels. Has anyone swapped in a smaller aftermarket wheel that sits far enough back that the turn signal can still be easily reached. Most I’ve seen have hubs that seem to stick pretty far out. 17. Wait ya’ll have not only caught up on maintenance, but gotten to the point where you get to do fun things to your Jeeps? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I’m not sure if mine has something wrong with it or what, but loaded, unloaded, fast, slow. I’ve hit speed bumps and pot holes without bottoming the shaft out in the transmission. I’m not saying everyone’s experience will be the same, but from my experience... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. That truck looks real familiar.... it’s almost like I saw it in person on Saturday... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I did a direct swap on my stock height Comanche. Factory was a D35, swapped in an 8.25. When I was looking the cheapest decent quality perches I found were $40 and I might just be stupid, but it’s pretty hard to cleanly cut off perches. For me the 8.25 was under $100 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. you wouldn't happen to have a side by side comparison of the two seals, would you?
  22. Personally I would go with an 8.25. The D35 just doesn't hold up in the long run. Since he needs to spend money on the D35 to swap it in I would look for an 8.25 and spend a little more to increase the strength. I'm not saying everyone will break their D35 or that they can't work, but I personally had a D35 break in a comanche with 29" street tires that has seen nothing more than a dirt road twice.
  23. What head and intake do you plan to use? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My engine is similar except it’s only .030, with a few intake and fuel mods. Everyone suggested staying stock 2.25” exhaust for my truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I need to go through and put split loom and tape on all my wiring. The factory stuff is missing, brittle or worn through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
