  1. I’ll vouch for Neal’s cables, have a set on my Cherokee. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I also like the Cherokee forum apps better, but Tapatalk works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’ve seen lots of swaps for the doors, and I would really like to get the 97+ doors like I have on my Cherokee on the Comanche since it has the full window, but I’d like to keep the interior door panel. Is it possible to put the old panel on the new doors? I’ve looked but every swap I’ve seen they leave the panels or do a full interior swap. Thanks for any replies! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Very similar, but mine will never see 35” tires unless they’re in the bed. Plan to keep it a fuel efficient daily driver. Hopefully it’ll get an ax-15 soonish though. I guess I’ll keep the ba10/5 till it blows. My roommate is trying to convince me to 4x4 swap it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. the rear of my Cherokee is set up with a decent amount of travel. Currently my 10” travel shocks limit it, but I’m sure 18” is somehow doable with the extra length of Comanche springs. Shackle angles are really important for leaf spring travel. I plan to relocate my rear shocks higher on the axle which is why I went with such short shocks. The rear is a little different from Comanches though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Not sure if you ever got shocks on, but I run 12” travel shocks and can get full travel with them without modifying either mounting point. My track bar bottoms out before my shocks do. I need to relocate my track bar over axle and my steering under pitman arm, but I haven’t gotten to it yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. MJ shackles are longer than XJ shackles. They will fit and lift, but I believe they will only give .75" of lift over factory shackles. Some XJ guys use MJ shackles for a cheap lift.
  8. So I have some brake calipers, rotors, and pads from a Cherokee I parted out a while back. They have like 5 miles on them so I’ll throw those on the front once I get the fluid coming out clean. The clutch pedal is cracked so I’ll have to pull it and weld it back up. Ordered a clutch master, line, and clutch kit so I’ll start pulling all of that stuff next time I’m home and hopefully have it driving before Christmas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The notch flares are really tough. 3/16” fiberglass isn’t going to break easily. Thick fiberglass will hold up really well. If I had the money I’d be running them on my Cherokee and Comanche. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Talked about my Cherokee some, but forgot to add pictures of it. Day I bought it Last trip (up in choccolocco in November) Just put 35” Mtrs on it Black Friday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Pictures I was sent. Pictures after I got it Home, pressure washed it and got it on jack stands to do some brake work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I've had a 1999 Jeep Cherokee since 2013, I have learned how to drive, how to work on vehicles, wheeled and built the Cherokee. I have always wanted a Comanche, but most are beat or ridiculously priced. Last Sunday my friend texted me and told me her friend's dad had a Jeep truck that had been sitting a while and she had told them I liked Jeeps and fixing cars up. She asked if they would be interested in selling it to me. She sent me a couple of pictures of the Comanche (I'll upload them later) and I told her I would come get it as soon as I could. This Saturday I got a trailer from my uncle and made an 8 hour round trip to pick it up. Now some info, one owner 1987 Comanche sport truck, 2wd, 130,000 miles, 5 speed, almost perfect body, no rust on "frame" or body, but some in the floor pans, lived its whole life in Charleston. I figured for $500 it was worth it since the body was in very good condition. It definitely needs some work and has been sitting for a while. The brakes and clutch need work, the fluid has crystallized and I haven't been able to get fluid to come out of the clutch bleeder after getting as much old stuff out and putting fresh fluid in it, and the brakes I got fluid coming out all four bleeders, but ran out of brake fluid before clean fluid was coming out. Hopefully I can get the hydraulics decently flushed, getting tires that aren't dry rotted, and then it will be road worthy.
