I’ve actually found some yards by scrolling around on google maps and finding a field of cars Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve called/gone to all the ones that popped up in my searches and yes I’ve tried various things such as junkyard, auto salvage, and the likes. There are a lot of small mom and pop or private yards that don’t come up with an initial search. I’ve definitely gone to a few yards, but I know there are more out there. I know someone with a long list of junkyards, but he won’t share it with me, says he doesn’t want me to have all the fun checking them out before he gets to check them out. I’ve thought about doing like a weekend trip or something if I could find a few yards close together to check out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I never really know what is actually worth anything or outside of the normal. I know a decent bit of Cherokee/Comanche stuff, but beyond that I never know what’s worth sharing. I just like looking at cool old stuff and sometimes pulling parts as wall hangers. I wish I knew when I found something someone could use because I hate seeing good parts rot. I love wandering through old and new junkyards and seeing what I can find. There’s cool aftermarket and stock parts that you can run across and save some parts from the scrapper. Currently I go to Clemson and my parents live in the Greenville, SC area and it just doesn’t seem like there are many yards in the area. Anyone know of any yards within like 1-2 hour drive of either location that would be worth checking out? Here are some of the things I found interesting along the way when I remembered to actually take a picture Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

didn’t turn the starter over, it’s not started 4 or 5 times in a row now so I believe it may be getting more serious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

The issue is intermittent, so I will have to wait till the next time it’s acting up to test it out, but the intermittent part of the issue makes me think it isn’t the wire itself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yes, which is what I was saying. That function is normal, but when you test for power at the starter relay, the switch isn’t sending any power to the starter relay, it’s just killing the other power. So would that indicate a bad ignition switch? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Now that the motor mounts and vents have made it quieter, and I finally put my LED marker lights in with the correct flasher. I’m on a fix little things kick. Next on the list I guess would be the intermittent no start issue. I turn the key and it kills the blower motor and the gauges do their thing, but it doesn’t send power to the starter relay so my guess is ignition switch, but I have no clue. The idle is funky and never idles are 750 and I’ve tried new IAC, new TPS, adjusted the TPS multiple times, and I’m not sure what to do with it. Also, my truck seems to charge low. Like 13v or so with this alternator and the last, but cold mornings it reads over 14 for some reason. There seems to be so many inconsistent quirks with the truck. I trust it to start up and go no matter what, but there’s just little things that drive me crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I went from poly mounts to rubber mounts. The Jeep is so much quieter now, but it’s one of them soup is too cold soup is too hot kinda deals. I liked the rigidity of the poly mounts, but I like the quiet of the rubber mounts. I may try some sort of beefier rubber mounts later on to try and get the best of both worlds. I had a front hitch in my Cherokee and I stuffed it into some dirt once not hard at all compared to how I’ve bashed my bumper and it pulled the hitch down. It only mounts to the bottom of the “frame” the boostwerks and bad dad fab tie in on the sides and front too if I remember correctly. They also have steering braces which make a great improvement in steering play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a build thread on Cherokee forum for it. I’ve been over there since I got the Cherokee in 2013. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Were you referring to my Cherokee? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was thinking about this build and the factory look with a winch. You could use the boostwerks comp mount with the stock bumper or there a guy I think bad dad fab or something like that who also makes a hidden winch mount. Stealth and useful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Added Bluetooth to my truck which is super nice to have a hidden sound system. And I can start my music and stick my phone back in my pocket. I finally put the marker light LEDs in and to do so I got a relay from the parts store and ran jumpers to the 2 pins the factory flasher relay uses and had to ground the 3rd pin, but everything works and I’m happy with the results. I’m assuming that one is not for sale, and they are probably no longer available anywhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My truck was factory radio delete, but the PO put a crappy aftermarket radio and antenna on it. I found a radio delete panel and put it in, but now I’m still stuck with a useless antenna (I put a factory one in because it looked so much better than the crappy one) but I would like to have a block off plate and it would be great if I found the block off for the hole the antenna wire passes through under the fender. Basically I want a radio delete package. Anyone have one laying around or seen one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got the vents redone and put them in. Haven’t driven at highway speeds yet so I don’t know if these will flap like the last ones yet. Also, I ordered a Bluetooth adapter made my JL today so I can go further incognito with the radio and charge my phone while listening to music. So now it’ll have a radio delete plate and the aux cord will no longer be laying around. -
I would love to do the intermittent wiper and the 3 spoke steering wheel swap. Just so many little things I want to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Less than the rock auto one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I didn’t even know they still were obtainable new, but that definitely isn’t cheap Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I actually like my non tilt column, so I’d rather find a switch and install it. What all do I need to do the swap? The switch in the column, the stalk that goes into the switch, and the module? There’s no way to adapt a tilt column switch to work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I guess I need to get one and give it a go then. Just never tried since everywhere I looked said they were different. I guess I need to get a stalk, the switch in the column, and the module under the dash at the drivers feet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need the switch in the stalk, and the module. The module is the same, but from what I can find the switch in the stalk is specific to tilt and fixed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I haven’t found a single intermittent wiper switch for a fixed column anywhere I’ve looked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m located in Upstate, SC. I am willing to drive or pay shipping. I have a fixed steering column and I currently don’t have intermittent wipers. I’m looking to find an intermittent wiper switch or if someone can tell me another vehicle to pull it from or whatever. I’m just tired of the wipers in the rain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
