  1. Wade asked how much for the reaming. Don't most places include reaming with the bill? Sorry, just couldn't resist.
  2. Great find. Where are you in Florida? Sounds like it's always been a Florida truck but surprised it has not had a/c. Welcome to the club and hope to meet you in person sometime. Buck.
  3. I am very impressed with the work you have done. Keep up the great work and keep the pics coming.
  4. Awsome find. Sounds like it wasn't abused at all. Great project truck. Welcome to the club and take lots of pics when you get going.
  5. Congrats. Great truck, many are jealous!
  6. Great truck! I'm impressed with your work already. Keep it up and welcome to the madness!
  7. Great find! Welcome to the club. Those wheels will look great. Has it always been in Florida? Hope to meet you in person some day.
  8. Hey suuperman, change of plans but better for you. I have 4 wheels available now. I bought them off of CL for the center caps and I was going to paint those, but it will be cheaper for me to just paint the wheels already on my truck. These are dark grey with yellow pinstripe, definitely need to be painted but are 6 hole and in good shape. Let me know when you want to pick them up. Buck.
  9. No problem. This will be motivation for me to get my other wheels painted. Talk to you soon. Buck.
  10. I will have 4 grey 6 hole wheels in a few weeks. I need to paint 4 wheels and have my tires mounted and then put on my comanche. I am keeping the center caps but you can have the wheels for free, I live in Lake Mary, just north of Orlando.
  11. Wow, I hope this forum never stoops to those lows. It is so true that people say things online they wouldn't ever say to a person face to face. And if I ask a trivial question and get a response like that there will be one less "Favorites" on my computer. I'm not saying I or anyone shouldn't take a little heat once in a while, but if that turns in to the norm, I've got better things to do with my time. I really appreciate this forum and the help everybody puts into this, thanks for all the inspiration and let's keep it civil!
  12. Go ahead and get it! Mine is a Leer and remember I paid 300 to get it shipped to me. If you can drive and get it, grab it while you can. Don't forget the clamps!
  13. Good luck, whatever you decide. I found one for 100 but it cost me 300 to get it shipped to Florida from South Carolina. The long bed topper is such a hard size to find. The only thing that looks good is a topper made just for the comanche. Take a picture to a topper place and see if they can price it. Might help if you can tell what company made the topper, usually on the back window! If you buy the jy one, be sure to take a board and 2 clamps so it doesn't flex and crack. I had an aluminum one on my truck for 20 years, wanted a fiberglass topper, looked for 3 months on CL and no luck. I ended up using a used auto part locator.
  14. Great job. I might pm you with questions about the brake booster sometime later. Great looking truck and hope no more traffic problems.
  15. Great truck, would love to see more updated picks. Cool that you are doing it in memory of your dad. Are you, did you go with same color?
  16. Thanks so much for the pics! That is one great truck and some awesome trips you've taken. Always enjoy updates from your post to see where you've been.
  17. Hey Brandon, did the po use the mj to put a boat in and out of the ocean? I'll keep an eye out for a bumper when I go to the pnp here in Orlando and Daytona.
  18. I got mine painted the second time (florida sun is very hard on paint) and I went with 2 tone. The painter had already agreed to paint the flares black (grey truck) but then painted the lower part black and the cowel panel black also. It turned out great. I don't think I've seen a 2 tone scheme I don't like. Can't wait to see more and thanks for sharing!
  19. As for the striping for a pioneer that long I would go to a sign maker. The first time I got my truck painted and all the pioneer stripes were stripped off I had gone to a sign guy who had measured, took pictures etc., he was going to duplicate everything but the guy who painted it put the comanche emblems in the wrong place and I couldn't redo the stripes. I actually like mine w/o the stripes. I had the sign guy go ahead and make the Jeep letters for the tailgate. I think if you can have a sign company come out and take pictures, measure, etc., they might be able to do it for less than an arm and a leg. Good luck and that is an awesome project.
  20. Welcome to the club, fellow Floridian. Good luck with the swap, I am jealous of all you who can and are willing to take the time to do major projects. Keep us posted. By the way, great find and great price, hopefully it's been in Florida all it's life and no rust.
  21. Welcome to the club and nice find. I really like the alarm system!! Keep the pics coming when things change and good luck with your project although it sounds like you've got a plan and a great mj to start with.
  22. Good find. Glad things are working out for you. May this mj stay upright always and you have tons of fun in it!!
  23. Great find! I am getting ready to change my bezel to all black also, when I had a stereo put in years ago, they cut it up also, they trimmed around the heater vent thinking it was the stereo opening. I didn't notice it until much later. Anyway, I would like to get rid of all the chrome on the interior but don't know if I can find black door handle surrounds. That is a very nice jeep you found. Welcome and keep pics and info coming.
  24. Do we get extra points for high mileage all driven by me, the original owner? 244,000 and still running well. All stock.
  25. Welcome to the club and nice find! Enjoy!
