  1. The physical is the worst part... Mentally I am more reserved and less likely to do stupid $#!& than when I was 16-21 but I think that is because it hurts more when I fall now...
  2. As long as the trans slips into it you should be fine.
  3. Just turned 27 a few weeks back... That is strange to write, I am approaching 30 and it pains me... I voted no on if I joined CC before I was 18. I may have joined before then under a different user name but I was extremely active in Cherokee Forum and a now defunct forum Cherokee Tech. I bought my first Comanche when I had just turned 18 though.
  4. Torx or one of those godawful 20 point Torx that euro cars use.
  5. I know what a 231D weighs... 242 should be close in weight to it. I have lifted both and I think the 231D may be heavier. 231D weighs about 72 lbs.
  6. I am 27... What is a Sneaky Pete?
  7. 92 Eliminators did come with that wheel. There is a good chance this is an eliminator. It is probably a re-paint if it is an eliminator. 1992s did not have fake rivets on the wheels.
  8. Unless you are slenderman you already have holes in your head... What are they teaching you kids in school these days?
  9. Honestly I would buy this so fast... If I hadn't already dropped so much money in the red truck.
  10. I would pay maybe 8k for it... If it was that nice I am not sure why he insisted on modifying it... Most of it looks like decent work except maybe the interior, but again, why?
  11. So there are still I think 3 years left to enter from the other website if you get bored after this.
  12. Half of my lines froze. Everything is just running in the crawlspace and with no heat... Luckily I didn't burst any lines.
  13. We had half a dozen busted cooling tower lines and a few domestic water lines burst in the lab...
  14. So we are still without power in Texas... I went to work because I was asked to be on campus for a bit. Situation is starting to get a bit dire in some areas. Managed to get my pipes unfrozen, bought a power inverter to run my furnace...
  15. My Hobart 180 works fine but the century welders are cheaper.
  16. I drove one of the new gladiators with a 6 spd... It was... Uninspiring.
  17. I wasn't attributing it to you, your post was just convenient to build off of. Its also not a completely false argument. I consider you to be pretty intelligent and this was in no way meant to insult you.
  18. It isnt hard per-se but it is janky =P Also it can contribute to accelerated hinge failure.
  19. I am only quoting Minuit because what he is suggesting has some validity to it but his hypothesis is not quite correct. Background: I am an automotive engineer with a 4yr degree and 6 years of experience doing dynamometer based engine test cell work. #1: Increased back pressure does not scavenge exhaust gases the way the internet thinks it does for some reason. Even if the engineers wanted this idea to work they would only be able to get it to work within a very narrow throttle position and RPM. For a low performance engine like the 4.0, an effort to do this, especially in the 80s would have been expensive and arguably useless. What backpressure does do is introduce more natural exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) into the combustion process. Higher backpressure will likely decrease your peak power by effectively reducing cylinder volume by allowing more exhaust gases to remain in the cylinder after the exhaust valve closes at the end of the exhaust stroke. The 4.0L non-pass through intake and exhaust flow on the head is so abhorrent that I seriously doubt that the crushed exhaust pipe is going to have any measurable impact on the performance of the engine compared to the flow profile of the head... #2: Maybe, but unlikely. Cold start warmup is going to happen primarily at idle and almost certainly below 2500 RPM. The flow profile is so low that there would be little to no appreciable difference in the flow velocity in the pipe at that point. In most cases you would want unrestricted full flow to the catalyst face at startup for fastest warmup. Primary reason why they started using two catalysts (close coupled and a downstream under floor) was to decrease the cold start emissions. As Dzimm posted... Almost certainly just to clearance something. I cannot think of any other reason why they would do that.
  20. They are Jeep "Canyon" wheels. Came on TJs and maybe ZJs iirc. As an aside, my old man used to SWEAR by the American Prospector A/T tires on his XJ back in the 90s/ early 00s. Haven't seen a set in a while. Would be interested to know the date code on those tires.
  21. I owned a 1996... I am a GM fan but that van was a nightmare... The Montana I owned was 10 times better and way more reliable. Ironically I also owned a 1989 S10 once upon a time... Also a horrific vehicle.
  22. https://www.autotrader.com/car-news/autotrader-find-gorgeous-1995-toyota-previa-awd-supercharged-281474979934647 This has been the object of my affection for a little while. As soon as I find a clean-ish one within a reasonable distance at a reasonable price I am going to own it.
