  1. I need to go through that and buy a bunch of crap from them...
  2. Interesting. I am not willing to modify any of the metal or plastic in the truck (beyond the 4x6 speaker frames conversion to 5 1/4) so tweeters in an ideal location are not really viable. My current thoughts based on this discourse is coax fronts, component rear (5 1/4) and tweeters in the under dash kick panel. I think that is likely the best I am going to get utilizing stock locations. Again everything will be amplified and crossovers added where needed. Likely still use the KSC-Sw11 sub somewhere just not sure where yet.
  3. Found a 170 on ebay that is listed as fully functional and looks to be in good shape physically. Bought it... We shall see.
  4. I believe this is an Automatic Radio one not a RX-170/171
  5. If I was in CO I would already have these...
  6. Oh hell yes. I am surprised they are this cheap =P
  7. I would consider a 170 also but I really don't want a 172-173 or one of the crappy Korean ones,
  8. I messaged him to see already. I assume given his current backlog that he has nothing available.
  9. Apparently the one I bought from ebay a year ago was tampered with and has a cracked main board. If anyone has one and wants to sell it please let me know.
  10. I am thinking I may use front components, rear 2-ways, and a self powered sub =P With a factory head.
  11. Really just need the brackets and preferably the screws. The tweeters themselves will be going in the trash. These would have come in a Accusound by Jensen Cherokee. Not sure if they ever came in a comanche.
  12. And you did not cut the plastics in the rear of your jeep?
  13. I am torn between the kickers and the kappas if I stick 4x6. If I do the Kappas I will likely do Morel Maximo fronts, if I do the kickers I will probably do kicker fronts. Plan is factory radio with bluetooth adapter soldered in at aux pins, speaker outputs to soundstream 4 channel mini amp (75w out per channel), self-powered KSC-11 from Limey's original setup.
  14. Has anyone done this with a clean install? Custom brackets or something? I am considering redoing the sound in the new Comanche again (current system is good its just not as good as it could be). The options for 4x6 speakers are not plentiful =P
  15. Damn thats nice. But you could always keep the XJ =P

  17. I have a set of the pop up ones but they are too big. Also I am in texas so its always hot =P
  18. What modern vehicle has a similar size windshield that I can buy a sunshade for that will work in the comanche. Tried the one off my van and it was way too big.
  19. You shouldnt need to change your PCM at all to run manual. You just need to jump two pins on the NSS plug and rewire the reverse lights for the AX-15 detent ball switch thing.
  20. I can fix a molested one as well. I always clean and re-wrap harnesses before installation.
  21. Just throwing it out there. Considering swapping the new to me 1991 to OBD2 so I can use HP tuners and tune my own ECU instead of relying on the pre-tuned stroker ECU.
  22. I might try fiberglass resin. I have limited experience with the stuff (helped a neighbor with a boat transom once). Is this a good idea?
  23. Plan is to use a factory water shield as well but I am wanting to coat the backs of the door cards as well.
  24. Plexiglass?
