  1. My 88 pioneer 2wd has the large driveshaft, approximately 4" in diameter. I found out that it's double walled or something. I'm swapping in an AX-15/NP242 combo. I have seen people say they shorten down the driveshafts on the trans end, but can't shorten the axle end. I was considering installing the sye on the NP242 so obviously I may can't use the MJ driveshaft at all. Would a XJ driveshaft strength be sufficient if it was lengthened? Since the diameter is 1.75".
  2. I used both a sawzall and cutting discs to get the job done
  3. Don't forget Boostwerks also made one too. In fact it was his idea and then everybody else started making it.
  4. You are on a good progress
  5. The NP231 is forgiving when it come to the choice of ATF to use in it. ATF4 is fine If you live in colder climate, Redline MTL would be excellent choice. Otherwise MT-90 would be fine. Conventional oil is fine. I have no experience with that bit read it to be a good choice.
  6. Happy Fourth of July everybody! To celebrate, I'm giving out 25% discount to anybody who orders a complete set from right now until Wednesday July 5th. Email me at meanlemons@gmail.com with "MJ25%"
  7. So how much did the bastids charge you to continue using their site? probably $400
  8. i ll love to have that for my 88. However I'm pretty sure it's a pain to run new wiring for those.
  9. Why do u need to swap the wiring out? You can swap in the engine and still use the renix system.
  10. Clean the nozzle with a pin
  11. Sorry to hear about the family.
  12. I have the unicorn you speak of. An AMC blue cluster with everything on it including trip meter.
  13. Agreed. If the jeep didn't come with a 4.0, I wouldn't be putting one in.
  14. indeed. Look like a cleaning and flushing is in order
  15. Soooooo who's going? It's this weekend.
  16. That would fall into the "custom" category because everybody mounts their dual battery set ups differently (different locations and/or routings are different). So I wouldn't be able to have one single kit to satify everybody. I have made dual battery set ups for a few customers though, entirely based on their own measurements.
  17. ah. Shipping probably would be a b*@$£ then.
  18. Don, where are you located? I MAYYYYYYYY be interested in the skid plate
  19. yep that's what I would do
