  1. can´t you take the column shifter from a S10?
  2. swap a 92->99 cam along with the head and intake, those are better for higher rpms
  3. not so helpful then...
  4. disconnect both axles so you can tow the truck
  5. unless you can bend it back right how it was it´s easier to get another...
  6. after a bump my dome lights got stuck on, had to pull the fuse out to keep them from draining the battery, is it the light switch or is there a relay that powers them
  7. XJ look great with some modifications, they are no bolt-on...
  8. you mean it runs but lacks power? there´s a vacuum leak in MAP or bad Throttle position sensor but since it can rev up to 3000 rpm fine, my vote goes for the MAP sensor vacuum leak, without it the ECU can not guess how much load is on the engine...
  9. i smashed mine and burned the pieces, it was driving me crazy...
  10. BA10/5 are meant for on road driving, no heavy load, no heavy hauling, no jackrabbit starts, no powershifting, no gear floating... perfect for granma... from what i have read, worn synchos and case stretching are the common failures, the first due not shifting gears properly, the second.. mm the case is too weak? what was AMC thinking...
  11. who needs that many cupholders.... never mind...
  12. the perfect place should be below the throttle body... the 4.0 has it near the firewall, what if the other side is hotter/cooler?
  13. it was the sporty trim, i would be weird NOT to have bucket seats in it...
  14. take the chance to upgrade to open cooling system, get a radiator for a XJ 93+
  15. then is more useless than i though
  16. other than the obvios ´ try next gear dip$#!& ´ does the shift up light have some other use? i mean, with my current setup, whenever i upshift i must wait for the engine to rev down a little so the gears mesh more easily, i plan to wire a switch in the clutch so whenever is pressed, propane suply is reduced, with the engine slowing down and with leaner mix it should synch and mesh faster, then i recalled that automatic transmission during shifts the timing is retarded and the mix altered to reduce strain in the transmision and make the shift invisible to the driver... i wonder if the shift up light does the same...
  17. i don´t want performance, just a way to limp on gasoline if i run out of propane... i did yesterday, and it´s a pain in the azz, TBI it´s simpler setup... but a single barrel carb will do the same trick if i make an adapter... yeah, that will do...
  18. i have already asked if the Renix TBI can be bolted to a 4.0, apparently yes, in that case, wring the map, the intake air temp sensor, coolant temp sensor and O2 sensor is posible to run the 4.0 with the TBI? or will the mixture be to lean for it?
  19. mine is 88 and it doesnt have it ALTHOUGHT there´s a hole to screw one....
