  1. Just got back from my trip to Bossier City, Louisiana. Attended a Veteran's conference held at Diamond Jack Casino. Clipped Diamond Jack for $45 bucks, was up $65 bucks, but he drew me back in on the last day. Drove through Missouri, Arkansas to get there. Beautiful part of the country. People so friendly. Once we cross the state line to Louisiana, on Interstate 49 its all brand new highway. Most of the time we were the only ones on the road. Does anyone else know about this stretch of new road? Looked into some senior housing down that way. Sure would like to live there. Anyways I'm back up north and its a little cooler here. Notice the trees changing colors along the way. I think Jack Frost is coming to town. Didn't see one MJ along the way. Its a rare beast to find.
  2. Are they going to open the interstates southbound lanes for northbound traffic? When?
  3. Sounds like you knocked off a vacuum hose.
  4. That adapter, is that the one that plugs in the Diagnostic Connector D2? If so, just pop out that connector from the bracket and rotate it 180°.
  5. Boxing is my game by choice, but its dying. Like so many things I like in life, they just go away (ex: 4.0L Renix's, MJ's). Mayweather should make easy work of this. McGregor has a 'puncher's chance' to win, but Great White Hopes don't seem to go to far in this sport.
  6. Disconnect the NSS connector. Does vehicle start when disconnected?

    End of the World....

Well, it seems like we're all still here. Kinda cool to witness it. One good thing did happen, all my bills are paid. :rotf:
  8. ..... is coming. Pay your bills.
  9. Usually a shield wire is tied to ground only on one end of the circuit. Not on both ends of the circuit. This could be normal.
  10. Pull Fuel Pump Relay (Injector Feed) and see if injector clicking stops.
  11. 0:07 to 0:08, in front of your finger/thumb on the shaft: Does the shaft diameter increase? If so, shaft may have open the hole (in the case) a little larger allowing the shaft to pull out of the case.
  12. Are you going to set up a 800 hotline number for CC addiction?
  13. Depending on all the vehicle changes from the factory settings (engine wise), short and long term fuel trim strategies would require miles of driving to re-learn their values.
  14. We got a great big 10-4 here, good buddies. Seems like I'll fall back on my Radio Shack DX-390 World Band portable radio. At least I'll be able to listen while flying down the road. Was thinking the phone app would allow me 2 way conversations, if it was simple, but the only thing I know about phone apps is that I hate them. Too old. If its not real simple, I get all mixed up.
  15. Has anyone tried using these phone Apps before? Thinking of taking a road trip a was wondering about the CB radio app.
  16. 3 shots in the dark: Transmission converter lockup locked up. (always on) P/N switch tell ECU to kick idle up when shifted in gear. (Does vehicle start in gear?) Worn out, lazy or tried IAC.
  17. Sometimes you'll see Fenix I (2.5L) or Fenix II (4.0L), both are what everyone calls Renix.
  18. Wish you well on your trip to the VA hospital. Using quick thinking, can you just pull the fuse, hookup a inline fuse with a switch, till you get it fixed.
  19. What about engine torque over the years?
  20. If it's a 4.0L try Cruiser tip 13: http://cruiser54.com/?p=68.
  21. TPS/TPS wiring is usually the cure for high idle on start up. Listen to cruiser. But while you're at it check cruiser tip 14. Throttle plate angle adjustment is a calibrated air leak and once properly set allows for TPS (closed throttle) and IAC (pintle position) to find the happy zone. That is, the best position for TPS to be adjusted and centers the IAC motor for optimum performance. Also make sure linkage always returns to the idle stop screw and no slop with the throttle plate. how does the ECU know how much air is getting in? only throu the TPS? how about the MAP? how come cycling the ECU on and off several times eventually fixed the problem? ECU also uses engine speed (RPMs) with TPS and MAP to determine the amount of air during open loop.
  22. At Key ON the MAP will take a barometric pressure (BARO) reading for the ECU. This BARO reading will be updated during any WOT condition after the initial reading is taken. BARO reading - actual vacuum reading = plays a major part in the fuel calculations. Your "loss of power" should've taken your vehicle to the WOT zone for a BARO re-read. I'm with Eagle on this one: Radiator.
  23. Do you still have damaged wires going towards the firewall?
  24. No. I meant is the metal cutting into the harness in your photo.
