I was told by the local auto parts store that it's a vehicle specific plug and my only option would be the dealer. Upon calling the dealer I was told I'd have to buy an entire vehicle wiring harness (yeah right!). Didn't know if anyone on here worked at a dealer and could look it up to see if you can just by the connectors? I guess my other option is to find someone parting an XJ or a '92 MJ that would have that connector... :grrrr:

My wife's '94 XJ recently lost all parking lights/dash lights. I looked at it today and after removal of the headlight switch I noticed that the connector was melted a bit. I believe this to be the cause of a faulty headlight dimmer/switch. Does anyone know where to purchase a new connector at? It's a 9-terminal connector and plugs directly into the headlight switch/dimmer. I simply just need the plastic connector as it looks like all the wiring/terminals are ok. I believe that it is year specific from '92-96. It plugs into the back of this;

WJ coils are a different diameter and will not fit correctly on the XJ/MJ D30 coil buckets. -

"Hidden Winch'' Bumper
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW replied to MJ is dead's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The biggest issue with it is that it was used with a 6000K winch. I've never had my hands on one; so I do not know if you could fit a larger winch on it or not. But 6000K really isn't a large enough winch for the vehicle. -

It was manufactured by Ramsey and is no longer available from Jeep or Ramsey. Here are a few .pdf files that may be of interest though; http://www.ramseypdfs.com/owners_search_pdfs/295153-D.pdf http://www.ramseypdfs.com/owners_search_pdfs/Parts%20List-JEEP%20XJ%2084-94%20HIDDEN%20KIT.pdf -

33x12.5 on a 3.5" RE lift on the wife's XJ (yeah I know it's an XJ, but the front suspension/fenders are the same). Sorry but I don't agree with 95% of the statements above; you don't need large amounts of lift or lots of trimming to fit them. Running stock flares (not relocated) and VERY minimal amount of trimming. -

I guess I'm stupid cause I swapped in an AMC20 into my wheeling MJ... Parts are not at all hard to find. They are an identical housing as a WT CJ AMC20 besides the spring perches and the 1 piece shaft. The reason the shafts are NLA is all the CJ guys bought them to put in their axles to cheaply solve the 2-piece shaft failure issues. Their is a decent amount of aftermarket parts available for them, relatively the same price as any D44 part.

The above pic of the AMC 20 that Dave posted is of my '86 which is NOT a Metric-Ton MJ. We had a discussion about this prior... As far as any additional info, here is an older post of mine in regards to AMC 20's gear ratio's; viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13854 -
How to remove wiper arms?
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW replied to Joop's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
On the wiper arm itself there is a little tab (see green arrow) that you pry out with the straight screwdriver (pry away/out from wiper, not up). Once the tab is out you can lift up on the wiper arms and they should come off. They may be a bit difficult to get off, so take your time and be careful if you try to pry on them.
