  1. Worth buying the whole thing just for the grill? CL pueblo all for sale / wanted cars & trucks - by owner v6cs2-4202638358@sale.craigslist.org [?]flag [?] : miscategorized prohibited spam best of Posted: about an hour ago 1988 Jeep Wagoneer! Runs! - $1300 (pueblo) 1988 Jeep Wagoneer odometer: 192000 automatic transmission Looking to sell or trade my '88 Jeep Wagoneer. It runs but needs a little work. It's got a straight 6, just had work done on it. Looking to either sell or trade for a truck that is in working condition and can go highway speeds. This is a little bit of a project vehicle. I drive it to the springs and back on a weekly basis with no issue, though. Location: pueblo it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
  2. I'm getting ready to swap all the gauges from a '88 instrument panel to a '85 instrument panel.Just curious to see if it will work or not. What I would like to know is whether or not someone has already did this. Save me from having to re-invent the wheel so to speak. All I really need is to swap the gas gauge to convert a 3/4 panel to a full panel The reason for swapping all the gauges is so the faces match.
  3. After a quick 'walk thru' of the yard I have 6-7 complete good condition hydraulic set ups. EVERY ONE IS DIFFERENT! That's why maybe with a pic I could help you. Also what year?
  4. I worked the wheat harvest in Kansas when I was a kid. Seems most of the farmers used them on most of their equipment. A roll of toilet paper was a standard item along with a monkee wrench, pair of pliers and a hank of baling wire.in the tool box
  5. Interesting and informative reading. Thank you digging it up and posting it.
  6. When I read that ad to my GF, she got a big smile on her face, grabbed my hand and we headed for the bedroom. Imagine her surprise, and mine, when opening the door she found two of my GF'S still there from a previous party. She stopped, shocked, and then slowly turned around and looked me in the face, turned back to the bedroom and entered, shutting the door behind her. Somebody threw one of her under garments over the camera so I can't see what's going on and the noises are driving me nuts. :brows:
  7. I just use a modified coffee can with a roll of toilet paper in it.
  8. I think it's fairly evident to all the CC members that ol Jimbo is a pack rat. If it's available I'll take it. I believe in my entire life I only turned something down once, and to this day I'm still crying about it. In 1964 I was in uncle Sam's flying circus stationed at Ft Campbell, Ky. A reserve, or national guard not sure which AF unit from Indiana came down for maneuvers on their 2 week training deal flying C 124'S. When they left, they left behind one of the spare engines they had brought along. for the A/C. The brass got on the sgt's butt to get it out of the hanger. The sgt called me. Said "get it out of here, it's yours." Gentlemen. I stared at that 12 foot high, 18 cylinder, 1400 HP monstrosity for a week. I could think of no way in hell to get it home, or what I would do with it once I got it there. That's the only thing in my life I was ever offered free and I turned it down. :dunno: Welllll, there was an incidence in San Sebastion with a young lady? but lets not go into that.
  9. They do make, or did, heavy duty units for the 2.5 A year ago or so, I got a '87 MJ with a 200 amp alternator on it. It fit in the stock mounting, no adapter. It was a forestry service truck and the bed has several holes in it where some kind of special equipment was in it.
  10. That is looking good. Reminds me of the '52 weapons carrier I drove in the Army in '53. We didn't call them M37. We called them weapon carriers or 3/4 ton. Are you going to install the wooden fold down seats like in the original M37 ? Convert it back and forth between a weapons carrier and a troop carrier?
  11. J20? I was here first. I purchased a surplus diesel locomotive from Union Pacific so I could pull one of the engines for a swap into my '77 J20' After getting the engine out and on the ground I realized it was 4 feet longer and 4 tons heavier than the J20' Since I didn't want to get involved in a spring swap, frame stretching deal I dropped the whole idea. Any body want to buy a GP-38-2 2,000 horse power engine for their diesel swap into a MJ? My '75 J20 Image Not Found My '77 J20
  12. Obviously you should have 'glassed the roof too. Beefed it up a tad.
  13. First thing I would do is remove the OP sending unit and screw in a mechanical OP gauge. Find out for sure what the pressure is. Does the gauge stay stuck when the ign key is off? With the engine running remove the wire from the sender. If the gauge drops to zero then very likely it is OK.
  14. I once belonged to a dune buggy club in Hauser, Or. Every Sun we had a big shin dig on the dunes,Dune climbing, drag racing, beer drinking, Just a good time sort of thing. One member had a trailer we would load up with every thing needed and he would tow it out to the dunes and get stuck. Would wind up using two buggies to get the trailer to where it was needed. I got to looking at the trailer one day and noticed it had a truck rear axle under it. End result took a hydraulic pump off an old Mack dump truck. A hydraulic motor, have no idea what it came from and 12V starter. Hooked the hydraulic motor up to the pinion on the axle. Used the starter to drive the Hyd pump. Had a switch on the dash of the buggy to switch the Starter on and off with. Amazing enough it worked.Hit soft sand he hit the switch and made it on thru. There were better ways to go but we used parts from the scrap pile. Only thing we bought was 5 gal hydraulic fluid.
  15. YEP !

  17. A person could make any bumper he wanted fit. Just fabricate the mounts.
  18. Opened the purse up and nothing came out but moths, Let me check the washing machine. That's always good for a couple coins.
  19. On some Jeeps there is a Ground wire going direct from the negative post to the starter mounting bolt. Then there is the Pos cable going from the starter relay to the solenoid on the starter. . I once saw these two cables get switched. Both cables were the same color. Black.Just something else to check.
  20. The 207 was used with manual transmission. Auto used either the 207 or the 228. Adapters are available for the sm420 and 465.

  24. Just found out there's another MJ owner in town. Haven't talked to him yet, just his wife. He has a '90 MJ he is totally redoing from the ground up. Has everything removed and just has the cab and frame still together. Got some rust in the floorboards to fix. Doing the '98 conversion. Trying to get together with her to take some pics. We'll see.
