  4. Maybe stuck in Low Range? Surely you can hear an engine over revving. Check the tach against a known instrument
  5. 1986MJ,V6, not auto but 5 speed,Replacing that junky 2.8 that crapped out after only 238,773 miles. turns 1850-1900 at 75. Never paid attention what it does at 55 and 65
  6. Swap ya a 4WD MJ for the '92. Save you the trouble. And welcome.
  7. He just realized the IRS is following this thread and anything he finds is taxable. :???:
  8. The biggest problem with salvage titles is the stigma attached to it. I once saw new cars being sold with salvage titles due to flood damage. Some of the cars had been completely underwater. Some of them it never got higher than their hubcaps. They just did a lot deal on them and not a individual inspection. I would not reject a car because of a salvage title. However I would inspect more thoroughly than one with a clean title and check into it's background.
  9. I have done both. Changed the door and changed the glass. Either way is a PITA. If you don't have power windows and such, then it's probably easier to change the door. Pull the two pins on the hinges and remove the two bolts holding the door stop and you've got it. So now can you get a door that matches or do you paint it to match, or just don't worry about it? To change the glass you remove the door panel, the weather stripping around the window, The window channels. The regulator is held in with rivets instead of bolts. You can change the glass by yourself. You can also change the door by yourself but it is easier with help. Six of one. Half a dozen of the other. I do have a door and a glass. You going to come after it?
  10. If you were to take a Fey, or any other, rear bumper and mount it on the front of a Jeep, would it then become a front bumper? Or would it still be a rear bumper? :dunno: Some peeps just has to much idle time on their hands.
  11. No, Yes, No? If you don't have one, how can it be working? :dunno:

  14. Any possibility your crank is bent? Leave the plate off and slowly rotate the crank looking for any warpage. Depending on the crank you may be able to attache a dial indicator and check what's happening. Chuck the FW up in a lathe again use the dial indicator.
  15. LOL,,,Not even a finger nail.
  16. If you need a instrument to tell you who the hot chicks are, then I'm afraid finding them ain't going to do you a bit of good.
  17. OK. Why won't it turn left 90*?
  18. Don't let it set to long without doing something with it. Put something off it's easier to just keep putting off. Do something everyday, even if it's only a couple minutes. Took me 3 years to get Flying again. Must have a couple hundred pics of the restoration but they're packed somewhere. Can't find them. 1948 Stinson 108-3
  19. :agree: If the gauge is accurate, then as long as it's not in the red you're OK. Got to pull out my Harris Stamp catalog and identify the reddish one with the canal on it. Don't recognize it. It's not the Suez so maybe the Panama?
  20. Yes it would be. But just where am i going to find one?
  21. Maybe that's why he's so laid back.
  22. Obama has been asking military leaders if they would fire on American citizens. Wonder why?
