  7. Pretty much what I got in mind. Got a complete '93 ZJ been rolled for donor. Got a trailer I built back in '80's sometime with a '47 Jeep bed on it i'm going to use.
  8. Acquired this abandoned baby this morn. Got a '93 5.7 going to fill that empty space real nice.
  9. Maybe you should just fertilize it. See if it'll grow.
  10. Remember mom talking about when grandpa was trying to cross a flooding creek trying to get back home with grandma and a couple of the kids. She wasn't sure what year but it was a '20's something Hudson. They almost made it across when it stalled out. Grand dad walked up to a farm house to see if he could get the guy to come down with a couple mules and pull him out. He got back just in time to see it floating around a curve and out of sight. He chased it down the creek and was gone for several hours but they never did see it again. Not likely this is it. This was around Max Creek, near Joplin. Mpace6a is North. And for those wondering, no grandma and the kids were not in the car when it floated bye bye. Grand dad got them on the bank before he went after some mules.
  11. Be fun to try. If I can't I'm sure there's some old car buffs here who can. If there's any chrome pieces grills especially, don't scratch them. GOLD.
  12. I have used a bench grinder to reduce the OD of a pilot bushing. I have also used a reamer to enlarge the ID. If there isn't a machine shop nearby or you just don't have the funds try a electrical repair shop. They have a small lathe they use to turn armatures with that will work on a pilot bushing. That's what I have and use now.
  13. Nipple covers.
  14. Every body that thinks Rob has way too much stuff and should donate some of it to charity, say AYE! Jim's home for wayward young ladies, a charitable institution, is now accepting donations.
  15. Just posted another back pack stove in the for sale for anyone interested. Didn't go to ebay with this one. Just Comanche Club.
  16. The hole should already be threaded. Use the bolts you removed. If they're in bad shape go to the hardware store and get new ones. Grade 5 minimum.
  17. Believe I have a fuel rail will work. If you'll go $5.00 plus shipping let me know. I'll go check. Exactly what year(s) you need.?
  18. I picked up a XJ cheap because it wouldn't shift. Couldn't get it out of gear. Added a couple gts of lube cleared it right up. Drove it for a year before selling it. Worth checking.
  19. There should be two studs. One on each side. Rather than cut them off I would remove them. You or the next owner may want to change something and will need the the hole. The double lock nut or a pair of vise grips should do it.
  20. Yes. Yes. Yes. Or to put it another way Yes Yes Yes
  21. There is a bolt in the middle of the block. I don't remember for sure but I think it is 8mm. However it might be a 10mm. Remove the bolt and the back half will come out. There are 4 bolts holding the interior half to the firewall. One at each corner. I don't have the pin outs on the puter but one of the other guys will be on later and help you.
  22. A letter from the bank would mean there was a title but it had a lien against it. The letter would show the loan had been payed and the lien was removed.
  23. Already got it posted on ebay. Got one bid so far. $50.
  24. I've had to do it that way a couple times. Main thing is to not cut into the side wall. Take the center out first. Then just keep widening the hole. When your down to a 1/4 or 1/8 of an inch, then try a hammer and chisel. Usually when I get that close a couple taps and it drops out. I think only once I had to burn it out to the wall. When I was a kid I watched my uncle remove one with a drill. I think that was when and where I learned some of the no-no words I use today.
