  1. Was going thru my pics earler and came across these. If you decide to build your own or whatever, maybe they'll help or give ya some ideas. Not showing the roll bar itsef. Just the mounts that went under the bed.
  2. Shouldn't be that hard to get the parts and fabricate one. just make sure you use a hose for high pressure and not regular hose.
  3. :agree: Every state is different with their laws and every JY has their own policy. A couple years back a JY had a very nice MJ in their yard. I tried to buy the whole thing and was flat informed no way. Kept bugging the owner and making a pest out of my self. Finally pinned him down and asked him why not. His reply, state law. Once the title has been turned in to the state by a salvage yard the vehicle cannot be sold except in pieces. I asked him how about if I removed the dash, with the VIN tag and left it on the ground. He thought about that and agreed to it. Depending on how co operative the Yard owner wants to be, there's always away. Sometimes.
  4. Wonder if someone would swap me a new Jeep for one of these.
  5. What years did they make the Waggoneer with that horizontal grill & quads?
  6. Jim: I have actually used a ratchet strap to hold the hangers in. The truck in my avatar pic. Took it out wheeling and ripped BOTH hangers clean off. That was before fancy phones and before I discovered ComancheClub... Sounds like my kind of man. Don't get me started on some of the stunts I've pulled to get a rig home. I feel that if a person can't innovate then they got no business Jeepin or off roading. I think this has the possibilities of being a new thread. Maybe a sticky. Have every body tell about some of the tricks they pulled to get home with out calling for help.
  7. A little duct tape will fix that right up. Just be sure and wrap it around the frame and not just stick it to the sides
  8. Got tired of disconnecting the battery every night so yesterday decided to do something about it. First step , isolate the circuit. Removed all wires (5) from the bat input post on the start relay. testing each one narrowed it down to the one with 4 laeds going to one eye terminal. Checked the power distribution diagram in the FSM showed that the headlights, park lights, chime module, hazard flasher and dom,e lights were involved. Pulled fuses narrowed it to the dome light. Couldn't remember when the last time I ever used the dome light so just left the fuse out. Problem solved. HAH! Walk around check out revealed the left front park wasn't working. Checked bulb, cleaned socket. Now the right front parking quit. To shorten a long, and frustrating story as fast as i fixed something, something else went out. Noon today I got totally royally p*ssed. Started at the rear of the truck. Removed every bulb and disconnected every connector I could find and removed all ground ties. Cleaned everything. Put everything back together. There are 1,235 ground points, 1,057 connectors and innumerable other components in the wiring of a MJ. I separated and cleaned every *%#*@* of them. I don't know which one was the culprit although suspect there was more than one. I now have perfectly working lights all around, except for the dome. Not sure what the problem is with the dome. It would draw enough juice to kill the battery but not pop the 10 amp fuse. Going out tomorrow and POR'ing every ground and connecter I cleaned today. When I finish swapping out the interior pieces then i will check out the dome wiring. Till then, it's running and I'm happy.
  9. LOL. I don't think so, but thank you anyway for the suggestion. :laughin:

    Search

Yesterday nickhuts asked about the fuel sending units for the MJ-XJ. This subject has been covered, hashed and rehashed so many times on here I was going to suggest he use search. Before doing that I wanted to try it myself to make sure it worked or to send him a link. Guess what?

    Search

So how do you search for something like MJ, XJ, WJ, ZJ etc that only has two letters in their name when the search functions requires three, or more letters?
  13. Sam. What's that out of? Looks like a WJ something.
  14. Remove the windshield. replace it with a metal panel. This should give you all the mounting space you will ever need to mount switches, gauges or anything else you might want.
  15. :agree: S 10 are driver side drop.
  16. Neat !
  17. Some how a roof rack on a pick up seems redundant, odd, out of place. That's what the bed is for. Also think the cross pieces could be farther apart. Make a more stable base. That aside, it looks good. Good job.
  18. Fri was helping my GF'S son with his truck. Was using #40 Torx screw driver for a crowbar. It slipped. I figure it missed putting my eye out by 3/8 of an inch.
  19. I used to kill the little suckers by shooting them. Good target practice. Then my little bro convinced me that a Browning .50 caliber was over kill so now I use a Mossberg .22 Makes some of those shots at a 3.000-4.000 yards a little tricky. Especially when all you can see is their head.

    Mj With 440

Not if it's drove sensibly. It's been pretty well established that a huge engine idling is easier on the drive train than a smaller engine being hammered.
  21. ^ Smart *ss.
  22. And being out of ammo they did it with K-bars.
  23. My favorite Marine Corp motto; Retreating Hell! We're just attacking in a different direction.
  24. I got tired of seeing all those dead mice bodies going to waste so I started skinning and tanning the hides and selling them as patches for people with holes in their leather seat covers.
