I tried posting this earlier but something was screwed up, I think it was mostly PhotoBucket and i couldn't get anything to work. So I started the second thread on getting another MJ. Anyway, got over to the fellas garage and saw what a 6-71 was. No way it was going into a MJ. Besides, I think the guy had changed his mind about giving it away. Thought maybe into a J20. We got to talking about Jeeps and when the conversation got around to MJ'S he casually mentioned he knew where one was and was I interested. HA! Went across the street to his daughters house and behind the garage was this '90 MJ. We talked. 2 Ben Franklins and a PC for a couple hundred changed hands and I had another MJ. For the rest of the story, go now to the 'HoHum another one yawn' post.

When I went to work at Los Alamos I already had a top secret clearance. I had to do the pee in a bottle trick for my 'Q' clearance. The nice, but bored stiff young lady at the desk points to door, tells me to fill one of the bottles sitting on the shelf and return it to her. I did. I also pocketed a cap from one of the other bottles. Without really looking she placed the bottle in a brown envelope and casually tossed it it over her shoulder into a basket full of similiar brown envelopes. Reaching into my pocket I got the cap and dropped it on her desk with the question , "Oh. Was I supposed to replace the cap"? You never saw a bored person come to life so quickly and make a grab for the basket. She was kind of unhappy with me after that.

Starter Relay Center Tab?
jimoshel replied to drcomanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The earlier relays had 3 contacts. The later '87 up, only had 2, The '86 3 terminal can be and often is substituted for the later 2 terminal. The 3rd terminal just goes unused. Don't worry about it. And before anybody asks, No, the later 2 terminal cannot be substituted for the earlier 3 terminal. . -
DUI Checkpoint I would like to share an experience with you all about drinking and driving. As you well know some of us have been known to have had rare brushes with the authorities on our way home from the odd social session over the years. A couple of nights ago I was out for a few drinks, with some friends and had a few too many beers and some shots. Knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit I did something I've never done before???? I took a bus home. Sure enough, I passed a DUI checkpoint, but because it was a bus, they just waved it through. I arrived home safely without incident, which was a real surprise, as I have never driven a bus before and am not sure where I got it!

Harumph!! :fs1: Wise guy. We do have trees in Pueblo. Along the river bottom and older parts of town. Mostly Elm and Cottonwood. Lots' of Cedar and Pinion but it doesn't get big enough to cover a car.

Yep. She's going to run and look like a new one when I'm through with her. Actually it runs like a new one now. Just looks bad. Sitting under a tree for 11 years will do that for a machine.

I had 7 pics I was trying to post as well as how I got this one. It just kept posting the same pic over and over and i couldn't delete them. Needs a battery, Water pump and valve cover gasket. Ain't a rust spot nowhere, on the whole dern truck.

My biggest gripe is the Dorks that tears up a $100 worth of parts just to get a $1 item. Stupid, lazy inconsiderate MF'S.< and yes, that means just what you think it does.

The 6 must have been when they played the Broncos. :rotf:

Having dropped a 500CI from a '74 ElDorado into a '64 Corvair, as well as some other weird crap, I am aware that anything can be done if one is determined enough. However having matured, what ever in hell that means, I now try to keep things a little more practical. Any way going over tomorrow and get it. We'll see.

I was offered a free 6-71 today. Fella just wants it out of his garage. Says it runs good, needs nothing. I've heard about them but I'm not familiar with them. Would it work in a MJ conversion?

Who are those guys? The driver looks like my sister on one of her better days.

It looks dern nice right where it's at. Looks a lot better and at least some ones getting some use out of it, instead of just taking up space and collecting dust.

Went to the P&P this AM. Didn't have what I went after but did have a new '87 MJ. Figured as long as I was there and it was there, why not. Image Not Found Image Not Found

The White house announces Obama is raising taxes on alcohol. Seems to think it's a sure bet for revenue enhancement. Politicians exempted.

The new King was sitting on his throne, holding his very first King session. He told the gathered masses how it was going to be. One man stood up and and said "I disagree". The King pulled his pistol and shot him. The King ruled for 53 years without one single dissenter. :laughin:
