  1. I've only bought one set of MJ tail lights from a P&P. $40 for the pair. Don't know what a regular JY would have priced. If they were in good shape you should have grabbed them. They're going for $50 ea and up in the market.
  2. .035. A penny is .040
  3. Thank you everybody for your kind thoughts. I knew i was getting a problem horse when i got her so i got no b*@$£ coming. 5 years ago I was at the weekly BLM Mustang auction when I saw her. She was over by the fence away from the rest of the herd. Asked about her and was told she had respiratory gastric problems and they were going to put her down. She wasn't up for adoption. Should have just walked away and forgot about her but,,,,,,She rolled them sad, big Brown eyes at me and that was it. I've always been a sucker for big Brown eyes. Talked to the BLM folks and they finally agreed to let me have her. No charge, waived the adoption fee. She required special diet, soaked cubes and meds. She was the sweetest and gentlest horse I have ever seen in my life. Let her know what I wanted and she would bust her butt to please me. Would have made a perfect kids or beginners horse. I gave her 5 years of love and affection and I got it back. I'll miss her. And NO! I'm not sorry i got her. Jim
  4. Got a axle shaft I'll swap ya straight across for your ZJ. Seriously tho, if you can't find one local I do have one.
  5. What does "When Hell freezes over" mean? I showed that to the GF. Suggested to her it would be a nice gift for Christmas That was her response.
  6. I think somebodies shettin somebody.
  7. 7 AM went down to feed. Found Zip, my 8 year old Mustang down and in misery. A .45 to the head ended her pain. Trying to see if a little JD will help mine.
  8. Yep. They only built one back in '77 and didn't get it sold until this Sep. :rotf:
  9. Been looking for a rusty MJ for quite awhile now. Just want to see what one looks like. ^^^^Knows how to lose friends and alienate people.
  10. I picked up a nice MJ a while back. A 93 year old grandmother owned it and she only used it once a week for her trip to and from church. Since she was to old to drive anymore she had her grandson do the driving. He would come over every Sunday morning, back it out of the garage, vacuum the interior for his granny, load her up and take her the 1 mile to church where he dropped her off. He would then drive it 2 miles down the road to the dragstrip, where he field stripped it and just generally prepped it for the strip. After the races he put it all back together again and picked his sweet granny up and took her home and parked the MJ back in the garage where it would sit until next Sunday. Actually he did very well, consistently placing in the top 3. :MJ 1:
  11. I got a maximum of $500 tied up in my DD MJ. It starts when I want to and it goes where ever I want it too. Doesn't give me any trouble and is easy on gas and maintenance. Just can't understand why any one would even think about spending a couple grand on any machine. :hmm:
  12. Nothing will readily fit except maybe the radio.
  13. Run over a protruding rock and tear a 6 inch gash in your stock 2.5 muffler. Produces a sound no after market can duplicate, although now I have to turn the stereo up a little more.
  14. They're recommended for use at and above 5,000ft. Their main purpose is to advance the spark a couple degrees. Not recommended for lower altitudes altho I don't think it would hurt, or help anything.
  15. They look exactly like a pair of after market mirrors I got on a '74 J10
  16. My '87 DD, 2.5, 4spd, 2wd has a round steering wheel. Is that standard or an option? Also as for the 2.8 being junk, they must be. My '86 with 2.8, 5 spd, 4wd that went thru hell and back finally knocked a rod bearing. The damn piece of junk only has 297K on it. I pulled another 2.8 out of a '93 S10 that I'm dropping into it. Bet I get another 200K out of it. :MJ 1:

How can anyone really be gone when their memory stays with us? Semper Fi.
  18. Those sales can be a blast, or a headache. In 1957 the BOP dealer in Raton shut his doors. He had been in business since 1932. In 1962 they had an auction for everything. The building, fixtures, shop equipment, spare parts, everything. It was pretty much of a one man show as I wound up with 95% of it. Then came the headache,,er,,I mean the fun of doing something with all that stuff. Try getting rid of over 400 fan belts, radiator hoses for '30, 40, and early 50 cars without a parts catalog. I had a permanent ad in Old Cars Weekly for 6 months. Anybody need a fuel pump for a 55-57 Chevy? How about a oil pump? I finally trash canned most of the points, condensers and other tune up parts. Still got a couple boxes full of the stuff. :hmm:

    Fsm Caution

You got screwed. If you don't get satisfaction from the seller go direct to ebay and file a complaint. They want to keep their customers happy.
  23. You're not going to find a new one. Maybe a used one if you're lucky. If the truck is nice otherwise i wouldn't let a non working gas gauge keep me from getting it. Just keep the tank full.
  24. There's 12 in my yard and 1 running around loose, but I've got my eye on it.
  25. Worthless, you should totally give to me. :D But seriously, need a lot more details. Anything and everything you can think of. Hey. That's my line. :fs1:
