  1. The AX-15 is pretty easy to rebuild although personally it sounds like your clutch isn't fully disengaging anymore. I would recommend swapping to a new external slave and see if it fixes the issue before investing in a new tranny. Fwiw, I rebuilt my AX-15 a few months ago and upgraded to an external swap. Spent a little more than I wanted but came in around $500 if I recall. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  2. Actually, I really like the headliner look. Seeing as I wear a cowboy hat most days, the extra clearance would be welcome. The light you mounted, does it function the same as the B pillar lights in that you can turn it on separate and it comes on when the doors open/headlamp dimmer switch is operated or is it just one or the other?
  3. Yessir..thats your taillights alright  Damn they cleaned up nice. I saw a "how-to" on Facebook the other day on polishing then masking off the edges for black paint and an overall coat of clear afterwards. I'm guessing that's what you did?
  4. Those the taillights I sold you?
  5. While you have it apart go with a 99+ Intake! Well worth the upgrade!
  6. Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I'm in Baton Rouge and very interested in how this turned out.
  7. Is "Jeep" spelled out in electrical tape? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  8. Lincoln started with the behind the license plate if I recall correctly. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  9. I switched to the 94 and up distributor quite awhile ago in my 91 so I can't help with the older 91-93 distributor parts. The newer distributor is more maintenance friendly. Taylor 8mm wires are excellent, good choice. Yep did this too. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  10. I went with a MOPAR tune up kit off ebay. Was about $70 for rotor, cap, and wires. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  11. Something identical to this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-95-Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-Fuel-Injectors-4-0L-Modern-Bosch-Ultimate-Upgrade-/192094886132?hash=item2cb9bf58f4 I originally pulled a set from a Dodge Neon in the junk yard....I think I ended up selling those back to the ebay seller for credit.
  12. Check your map sensor voltages. I was having issues with mine and when the MAP sensor was disconnected it took a while to catch. When I upgraded my injectors it helped with my starts some, fwiw. I believe there's also a known issue with the fuel pump or regulator tending to let gas go back into the tank when they start to fail but don't quote me on that. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks cruiser. If that's the one that commonly has velcro on it, I have one (maybe 2)in my spare parts pile. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  14. I saw an article on how repair tripmeters recently, I just can't remember which vehicle (and therefore which forum) it was on. If anyone has an instrument cluster in the south Louisiana area for me to borrow, I'd like to take a look at it. My MJ is my daily right now and my backup currently has fuel problems. 15. Well was filling up in Alabama and my trip meter quit on me as I was leaving the fuel station. Anybody happen to have a write-up on how to repair it? If not it looks like I'll be tearing into my Dash blindly in the near future. Seriously this is how I feel some days. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  16. Walmart 10W-30. Ford filter (Walmart sells them). No burning or leaks now that I changed the valve cover gasket, engine pan gasket, and rear main oil seal. 211786.5 miles and Counting. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  17. Wipers have intermittently not worked since I've had the MJ, I think I finally figured it out. I've got chattering coming from under the dash here, I assume it's a failing relay or poor connection. Anyone know what I'm looking for? A pic of the relay would be helpful! 18. Yeah, I dated a girl in law school who studied that particular case. The actually dumped it in her lap as they handed it to her in the paper cup holder thingy. The woman was in her 80s and the coffee pot was set to 205 or 208 deg F. Those burn pictures are hard to forget..... Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  19. You're right, it doesn't. It doesn't have a lot of things. Like power, or a clock or even a passanger side mirror but worst of all.... no cup holders. If you drive an automatic, just hold it between ya legs!!!
  20. This is exactly why I want to fully exo my MJ. Yeah rock climbing too, but really I just want to be able to Mad Max some genius who isn't paying attention.
  21. Sometime in the mid to late 90s I believe this became required (along with 3rd brake lights....I bet your granada doesn't have one of those either). Every new car sold in the US has either an arrow or an indicator of some sort identifying for the poor young drivers of today where the "gas thingy" goes, along with a warning that it will give them cancer in Kommiefornia (ok, that last part I made up but it sure sounds good). Considering my '92 MJ is my newest vehicle of 8 other than my motorcycle and Mazdaspeed 3 (which is for sale)......I just have to remember. And yes, I too have pull up to the wrong side and stretched the hose over the trunk. $HlT happens....
  22. Your buddy who made that front bumper.....have his contact info? I think I finally found one I like that holds a winch :D
  23. I didn't install one on my truck. Works great without it.
  24. X2. AEM makes the Uego, great quality wide band A/F tracker. Narrow band (like what your ecu uses) O2 sensors move rapidly making it hard to see what your fuel is doing. I happen to have the Uego installed in my MJ, used it to troubleshoot fuel problems I thought I was having. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
