    AX15 (2wd or 4wd)

No, but pull-a-part has several 4x4 cherokees we can go snag one from. The NP231 is pretty easy to find around here.
  2. That 2wd AX-15 isn't still available by chance is it?
  3. Can ship on buyer's dime but would prefer to sell all together if possible. Core 4x4 adjustable control arms set (Tier 1, about 4 years old Now called their "Cruise Series") - $180 Rough Country control arm drop brackets and hardware- $60 4" lift coils (Old Man Emu, ran for 3 months... they still have the tags on them) - $130 4" rear springs (unknown manufacturer... they're 4 leaf and ride well) - $200 5x4.5 to 5x5 wheel adapters (so you can run newer wheels) - $100 4" Alcan Rear Springs (Used less than 1 month; True 4" lift on 4x4, closer to 5.5" on 2wd) - $700 AX-15 4x4 crossmember (fits 91-92 MJ, 91-01 XJ) - $250 Control Arms, drop brackets, crossmember, and wheel adapters Picture of my truck with Alcan and OME springs plus Core arms and drop brackets with 31" tires Alcan 4" springs in foreground (1250lbs/in). Newer 6" lift behind it (1300lbs/in). 8 leafs/spring. Tag on the OME 4" coil springs. Lift on the 4" OME coils. Bucket to body is right at 15.5" (with a 4.0) Lift with the Alcan springs 11.75" from frame to axle tube. (I *think* this is the 4" ones, I will confirm)Spring rate is 1250lbs/in which gives a *very* comfortable ride with an empty truck or about 500lbs in the bed. Drop brackets and control arms right before removal from the truck. Another shot of the drop bracket.

    2WD AX-15

I'm in Atlanta often to visit friends and family. Maybe we can work something out.
  5. I've got a TruTrac in my nova with a GM 10 bolt.....that thing is AWESOME for racing!

    AX15 (2wd or 4wd)

I've got a shop in Harvey, we can do it in a weekend if you want. Even if I'm not getting the 2wd transmission, my shop is open to other Comanche owners. I think I even have a spare AX-15 crossmember laying around somewhere.
  7. I don't know, the holes in the wall of my last shop made me chuckle after I calmed down....how you gonna let an old truck, made by Mopar of all people, get the best of you?

    2WD AX-15

Looking for a 2WD AX-15, can trade a 4x4 AX-15 for it or buy outright. Located in NOLA but can drive to meet in a pretty wide radius.

    AX15 (2wd or 4wd)

    You ever find one? I've got a 4wd AX-15 I would trade for a 2wd AX-15
  10. Where are you located? I've got some fender flares I was holding on to.
  11. Glad ya got it sorted. In the age of FI and even direct injection, we forget that there are other contributors to problems!
  12. Following, would take a set for my '92.
  13. I had issues with housing clearance with the thick gears and when I called Eaton they said it was not uncommon and they don't recommend thick gearsets. Had similar issues with my aussie locker up front in the Dana 30 and had to purchase a new carrier for standard thickness gear and new gears for front and rear (4.10:1, my MJ came stock with 3.07:1).
  14. Did you ever replace the radiator or get it serviced?
  15. The Detroit Locker I used specifically will not work with thick gearsets. Didn't look at E-Lockers.
  16. Fuel or spark. Checking pressure and condition of the spark plugs would be my first go to....can you get it to misfire in park by revving? If so, pop the hood at night and see if the plug wires have any electrical leaks.
  17. Keep us updated with pics, I've got a set of fold forward XJ seats from a 2-dr that I'm going to be putting in (hopefully this year).
  18. Chiming in since I did this a couple years ago. Thick gearset works fine unless you are trying to go to a locker (I went with a Detroit on the 2nd go around instead of limited slip). 3.07 was my gearing,I still had the tag on the axle. You can also just chock one wheel and count the turns of the driveshaft, 3 vs 4 for one rotation of the wheel is pretty easy to tell. Thick gearsets don't have any drawbacks that I'm aware of, actually made the rebuild easier the first time since the shims were really really close.
  19. I went thru this exercise with my 92 when I did the conversion....unfortunately I don't remember the final outcome. I think I made a new rod end for the master that threaded on but I'll have to dig and see what I can find. The LMC206 was what I ended up going with.
  20. Oh, well now I have a reason to finish my turbo '92 shortbed 😅 Very cool man, you do a build thread?
  21. Did you get your lift figured out?
  22. Whatcha mean fast? 👀
  23. Have you looked at antirock bars for up front? They work well for lifted vehicles.
  24. I dropped my tank (23 gal long bed). Not too difficult.
  25. This was my old setup (at 4" lift) and can confirm it does ride well.
