  2. My only complaints with it is the volume control when its in CarPlay cause its tricky driving and having to swipe down the tablet taskbar and slide for volume. I'm looking into a fix tho.
  3. i certainly has lol
  4. Hey, I own this Comanche now. Located on St. John in the United States Virgin Island's. Its my daily driver and has gone through some changes. 1989 Jeep Comanche "Rubicon" Engine: Renix 4.0L / Transmission: NV3550 / Transfer Case: NP241OR (RockTrac) / Font Axle: Dana44 (Tru-Loc) / Rear Axle: Dana44 (Tru-Loc) / Wheelbase: SWB Current Location: St. John United States Virgin Island's Status: Daily Driver Notes: I call it the Rubicon Comanche. I pretty much Tj Rubicon swapped it minus the 4.0L HO and left the RENIX 4.0L in. Exhaust is 2.5" header back no cat. Front brakes and steering have been upgraded with WJ knuckles, Dual piston calipers, High Steer tie-rod bar and OTA Tackbar. Rear brakes are now Single piston caliper disc brakes. Thats pretty much it for the drivetrain. The interior is my next step. Its got Stock interior with a few little changes. R.E.M ll with clock. B&M Sport Shifter and custom B&M transfer case shifter. Full Instrument cluster with chrome gauge trim. Power windows. Tablet stereo. Bucket seats with full console. Gentex 221 rearview mirror with compass, temp, dimming and map lights. The paint was originally Dover Grey but it was repainted before i purchased it. I prefer the new paint which i found out is a Granite Crystal Metallic found on newer jeeps. cheers!

  6. thanks, I noticed that had that too but i felt it was to close to the engine for my liking and when i realized i could make more room by moving the washer fluid tank i decided to go this route plus it would be easier for me to make my adjustments. I didn't get the chance to finish plumbing the lines yet cause I need one union which I'll grab tomorrow at the store since everything closes here on Sunday.
  7. ok, so I think its safe to say I'm ready to upgrade my brakes. My rotors are shot, calibers are dragging, pads are gone and my load sensing valve is zip tied up lol. I've decided to upgrade my braking system. I've been gathering some parts together for a couple of months now and up front I'm going to do the WJ knuckle swap for the dual piston calibers and I found a kit for a high steer setup. I'm using a dual-diaphragm brake booster and a newer master cylinder as well. For brake proportioning i got a Wilwood proportioning valve so i can adjust it for my liking. I noticed when i ordered the valve i would have to make some room for it and have to relocate my washer fluid tank so i ordered one that goes in the fender. It comes with a low washer fluid sensor so it looks like i have to wire that in too haha. For the rear braking its time to match up with front axle and swap in the D44 axle i had laying around. I already shaved all the brackets off and its ready to set in place and weld the perches. It also got loaded up with fresh new parts !!!!
  8. Thanks. I'll have to check into that.
  9. Thank you for the suggestion. I've checked Rockauto for the LJ hoping but it looks like the only difference was the length of the front cable. The ZJ look to be the same size as well. I'll go do some more research though. maybe ill weld the ends on and call it a day I'm surprised there isn't more info out there on this.
  10. I'm trying to figure out lengths from end to end. The difference between the MJ and TJ cables are the lengths and the end that connects to the lever for the parking brake. I noticed the cables on the TJ connect to a bracket on the top side of the axle where as the MJ connect into the backing plate on the lower side of the axle. I was hoping that the difference would make up and allow for the shorter cables.
  11. I thought the transfer case out of the TJ Rubicon(np241OR) had a hall effect sensor. How do you calibrate it for the correct tire size?
  12. I'm interested in this kit. Do you know if this would work for a np241or transfer case speed sensor?
  13. Hey guys I'm in the middle of this swap and have a question about which parking brake cables to use. The axle is out of a 03 TJ Rubi. I see Teraflex has a 42" cable which is advertised 3" longer then stock(2003 wrangler with rear disc brakes) which looks pretty close to the length for the stock cables in my 89 SWB Comanche. Has anyone done this swap and trying this cable?
