Just like the title asks.... are we an "antique car club"? My state requires a notarized affidavit for antique tags *or* proof of membership to an antique car club. I'm curious if I need to pay $30 to a Notary or not.

Ended up tagging you in my FB posts. For everyone else it's @Tex Auto Garage on FB. LOTS of pics and descriptions -
I don't know how you'd do a smooth finish with Monstaliner. Mine is sprayed with a very fine texture, but it's definitely not smooth. Rolled would end up even "rougher".... the hills and valleys are less but bigger. Like driving thru rolling hills on asphalt as opposed to a flat gravel road.
-
Late to the party, but Monstaliner has held up great for me. Did my topper in white a couple years ago and my Comanche last year. A hard bedliner like raptor or Monstaliner isn't difficult to remove, you use a "bondo eater" (geared rotary sander) and an aggressive grit paper. Something like Rhino or the other professional ones, they're a bit tougher due to the thickness of the coating. Truck is super dirty but was hauling a trailer with it last weekend. Took a single gallon of Monstaliner to complete, all in for the coating and gun was like $200. Reds and orange are most likely to fade, all the other colors are very UV fast, and can be cleared over for more protection if you're concerned.

Halfway thru the install. Gonna dump a bunch of pics from my phone then organize from my computer later. -
Ohm, where are these located? I'm not a Renix year, just fyi.
-
Do you just need a copy of the 92 wiring diagram? I have one, just have to figure out where it is....
-
No, I've checked fuses and swapped them when having issues without any success. 28F today and won't start. Drove it last night to the gym right before the temp dropped (was ~60F). Tried cleaning both grounds (taillight one and the one I added to the fuel pump) with no success. Guess I'll pull the tank and replace the pump at this point.... I'm not sure what else I can do. I might try bypassing the resistor again just for the heck of it.

Still struggling to get everything to fit just right. Haven't welded anything yet bc I always do my fitup before, but I got so my pieces painted with weldthru primer and a bunch of c-clamps. Any pictures or model screenshots you could share? -
Yup. Did it back in 2016. Re-cleaning the grounds hasn't solved the problem. Still getting no fuel somedays. Isn't fixing it now. Have I mentioned that I hate intermittent electrical issues? Next step is checking my other grounds, I'm starting to wonder if maybe my body isn't grounded well, although that should give me a lot of other issues too.
-
May have found a solution.... time will tell. Looks like by rear tailight ground had corroded a touch, despite the coating I put on it a few years ago. Willing to bet the one I added as per Cruiser54's tips has done the same. Cleaned with the key in the on position when I had a non-start condition (only time it has happened with the temp over 60!) and could hear the pump prime when I reconnected it I'll wait for the next cold snap and if there's no issues I'll declare it fixed (and redo the ground on the pump itself).

Much appreciated. Do any of these go on the inside of the frame rail or are they all external? I haven't had access to the lift to take another look at these yet. -
LCG Setup: 35βs on 3β of lift
Tex06 replied to ghetdjc320's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've got 4.5" lift and 33" was about the max I could run and have any usable travel. 35 fit but even with the trimmed front fenders I get rubbing over bumps. -

Got my longbed stiffeners in last month. Looks good so far but can't figure out where some of the smaller pieces go. Anybody here completed their install yet? Pics of the stuff I have figured out so far.
-
Oh well aware. Intermittent electrical are my least favorite kind of problems. And with this Jeep nothing is ever easy to troubleshoot..... burnt connectors, cold solder joints, new sensors that are doa.... On the flip side, I don't complain about any of my GM products anymore. Between the Comanche and my diesel VW I've got enough shoddy workmanship and dumb engineering that any other brands seem great π

No, not yet. It's cold and wet here and I hate working on cold and wet ground π I'm either parked in the street or on my grass. I installed a Bosch fuel pump back in 2016 so I didn't really think it could be the pump, especially since when it is running it keeps up fine.
-
Yup, did this a few years ago. Guess I'll check that new ground and see how she's holding up.
