Thanks I am in the market for a ZJ myself but am only finding 4.0s with the 42RE combo. I wanted to gain more info on this trans before buying a ticking time bomb.
:hijack: I was curious about the ZJ transmissions. I have heard nothing but negative comments on the ZJ trans, Is there a certain one that is worse than others and I should stay away from?
Kind of pricey for a headlight that might not be what is described. I would add a nice set of fog lights before updating the stock headlights. On my truck I just bought OEM lights and replaced the actual plug that goes to the light and they got 20% brighter.
You can dye the carpet any color. Pick up some carpet dye from any art store and it would be cheaper than re-covering it. I used dye on a headliner in one of my Camaros, went from gray to black.
Yes, and you may want a slip yoke eliminator. Lifting an MJ that high is not "cheap" at all, you need longer control arms, track bar, sway links, and springs. Then you will need to adjust your alignment.
I still have the vacuum controlled water valve. I am trying to find why my heat started blowing a little cooler than it did two weeks ago. I am pretty sure it has something to do with not enough vacuum going to that valve.
