Just bored and wanted to start a thread to see what you guys where into/built before we all got the Jeep/comanche bug. This was my baby 91 RS with 350 4 bolt, comp roller cam, edelbrock ti-tech headers, 3" dual flowmaster, 4" functional ram air hood, B&M shift kit with 2700 stall, mega shifter(ratchet), 4:10 posi rear, dropped 0.5", and more I can't remember. EDIT: Her name was candycane

I'm thinking about running the 89 "rusty black" this winter with a plow and swapping everything over to "goldmember" in the spring and scrapping the rest.

Power washed cleaned up ready for a motor Not sure if the motor and drive line from rusty black will go into Goldmember yet!

I have the same bed liner as you Jimoshel and it came from the factory new on the truck in 89.

I have often thought the same thing, my MJ can compete for the ugliest on the CC but I still love it. The only thing that kept me from selling is the fact that I actually use it to haul all the time and it just isn't worth half what I have into it. But then again I do get attached to vehicles and have swapped motors in 19 degrees in a carport. :shake: I would lend a hand if you weren't 3000 miles away, I swapped my XJ motor in 1 day with help from my uncle.

I gave up looking for a plow and bought an 88 MJ instead. I found it sitting in someones driveway and knocked on the door.

Its very funny how both my MJs and my fathers mj have a NRA sticker in the window same as yours!

Did you bend the CA mount any when you used a bottle jack to force them more than they are supposed to go? Just curious because I hate using spring compressors unless I have to they are a huge PITA.

I believe you need to use your renix head on the HO block because the exhaust and intake ports are different.

Anyone got a motor handy? LOL

The rotors and drums are a great price but after shipping it might even out.

I would strongly recommend removing the bump stops then use coil spring compressors. The ones you rent from autozone/advance etc are very sketchy and dangerous if you don't know how to properly use them. I would recommend a cheap pair like these. Other than the small holes on the drivers side you can't see any rust from underneath. I'm hoping I can grind the rust down and still have enough metal there to use. If I have to I will buy new floor pans and take that route because there really isn't any more rust anywhere else.

I'm upset this had to happen here, the only good forum for MJs on the net. I don't want members on here thinking either of us are bad guys. It was bad communication and bad tempers. I have no hard feelings for him and I hope he doesn't either.

I am 21 and I'm not "glued" to my phone... I'm not a punk and have worked in the construction trade since age 14 went to night school so I could work during the day. I own my own roofing business and also do remodeling so I am VERY busy. I also have Tmobile cell service which is touch and go for service in the PA mountains. I don't give out my work phone #. Its not my uncle its my step-father...I'm sad to say that he isn't the brightest bulb on my Christmas tree but I'm sure you know that from meeting him. He is also the same guy who looks at a starter and asks "what does that do?". Our basement is full of Jeep parts and he prolly looked down the stairs and said he couldn't find them. Two rotbuckets? Have you seen either one of my MJs? The one I just bought has rust on the floor.. There are not many out there in this area that don't have baseball sized holes in the floor. My first MJ had alot of rot but I cut it all out and replaced it with new metal, I have yet to finish paint that is why it looks like crap. Are you that low that you have to pick on my vehicles? Mine would be just as nice if not better if I had the time to finish them. I am in no rush they are not going anywhere and I have a mint XJ that I drive daily. I am done bickering and arguing here, it does nobody any good. I don't need any parts from you either I have a basement full.

I'm not here to cause drama or screw any fellow jeeper. I am here to gain knowledge and talk with other MJ owners. I'm not a bad person and would give the last dollar in my pocket to someone if they needed it. I am definitely not here to be insulted when I have never done wrong to anyone.

He is "buddys" with 88 pioneer and he thinks I sold the doors off this XJ to someone else instead of him. I was at the hospitol that day and he just showed up at my house to buy the doors and got all pissed off because I wasn't there when I told him I was at an apointment that morning. He pissed me off so bad that I scrapped them instead of selling them to him. I don't need the money.
