  1. Old thread but... Juan will those air bags work with a 3" lift?
  2. All the fuses have power, I tested them with a test light. I also checked all the fusible links in the "relay center". I am about 99% sure its a ignition switch after searching on jeepforum. All the above mentioned things work when the key is turned backwards to the ACC position but not in run position. Anyone used an AUX fuse box mounted under the hood? Whats a good brand and place to buy? I think I need one so I don't fry anything else with all the acc. I have coming from the fuse block. Plow lights, fan, plow pump, etc...
  3. I think that snake on my computer would be the only thing to keep me off the CC! :typing:
  4. Are you talking about these? http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=JKS-9604&Category_Code=SUS_ACC Lift shocks don't come like the factory Jeep ones with the dumb bar going through one end.
  5. Ok thanks.. We won't be getting anymore snow in the next few days anyway. The MJ did an excellent job plowing tonight and the temp was good.
  6. Just like the title states.. I was driving then poof lost all 4 things. Search turned up that the ignition switch is at fault. I also lost power to the empty 12v acc's in the fusebox. What would cause this to happen? I do have the lights for my plow wired up to an empty acc in the fusebox, would this be the reason? It has a fuse on it and none of the fuses blew when this happened. I had to put a jumper wire to get my wipers back.
  7. I really hate how they mounted the spare tire on the side of the bed. Imo the "truck" would look much better with the tire underneath the bed. People say the MJ is not a truck but it can sure take a beating like any 1/2 ton.
  8. Will the fan blades bolt onto the GC clutch, or does the new one come with the blades? Can I just go to the JY and pull a fan clutch? There is only 1 Napa near me and they are very small, prolly take a week to get one.
  9. careful you don't brake anything! I mean break
  10. Look up a wiring diagram on autozone.com or just run new power to the pump.
  11. Why can't you just reconnect the wires where they need to go? Is the harness too far gone to be saved?
  12. Details? How does it run other than not going fast enough?
  13. Ahh they changed the unit bearings too! Can't use your 89 or older rotors with 90+ bearings, good to know. http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/quick-d30-question-16738/
  14. Yep sure did.. I'm simply explaining one of those changes. The pic pete has posted is the newer style.
  15. Mine will not interchange unless you replace the actual caliper mounting bracket too. However I did not realize this when I parted out the XJ and didn't save them. The 92 pads are about 3/8" longer than the 89 therefore they won't fit in the mounting bracket on the 89. Man I really wish I had pics to show you what I'm talking about.. I'm not crazy. :smart: O and my 94 XJ 2wd brakes are completely different than a 4wd. Unless you have a unit bearing set up like stated above, but mine doesn't.
  16. I ran into a brake issue today. I have an 89 MJ and I have a set of rotors, calipers, and pads from a 92 XJ. They are completely different! The rotors are a little thicker and the way the pads go on are different. The pads in the pic above slide in the caliper mine on my 89 slide on the caliper bracket, and they are not interchangeable. Both are from D-30 axles. EDIT: The calipers on the 89 have bolts that are slides to allow the caliper to move on. The 92 caliper slides are built in and then they are mounted onto the truck with a simple hex head bolt.
  17. I have an extra electric fan. Would it be better to remove the mech. fan and replace it with an electric one? That would mean one elec running all the time and one switched.
  18. Cooling system is in good shape I very recently went threw it all. My plow is pushing air around and above the truck and nowhere near the radiator. I drove for 8 mins with the plow almost on the ground angled and the radiator was in clear view. Hit 260 in less than 10mins.
  19. Does anyone make a fan clutch for the 4.0 that cools better than stock? When I have my plow mounted the truck overheats no matter what you do. I have the blade angled and almost hitting the ground AND the electric fan running all the time, and it still overheats.
  20. This is my truck now with a lil yellow thrown in the mix!
  21. I would do what ever you like. I am a kind of plain one color(black) kind of guy. I literally painted everything but my rims black, but I have a chrome grill and light bezels I might throw on to see what it looks like. I used to have a set of AR outlaws that were black, made the truck look really good with the tires sticking out. I removed my fender flares just for the fact that I hate the way the stock wheels stick in so far with them on.
  22. The speakers I have (pioneer) needed a little shaving so the mounting bracket would sit flat against the door.
  23. There is a used car lot in a small town in PA outside Gettysburg that has a MJ olive drab green, with a white star on each door! It wouldn't look too bad if they didn't paint EVERYTHING green. I will have to snap a pic next time I drive by.
  24. I really love that MJ in the pic I posted... Too bad it met an untimely end. :fs1:
  25. Thats not my truck, I found that pic while searching for the rims it has on it. American Racing Baja wheels, I want a set for my truck.
