  1. Your front header panel assembly, front fenders, and bumper are the newer style off a 97+ Cherokee. This is the older style 86-92MJ 84-96XJ
  2. Ok guys my wheel cylinders are shot and its time to re-plumb my rear brake lines also. Can anyone tell me what size brake line I need? (5/16)?
  3. Welcome! Looks good with the 97+ conversion already.
  4. You can fit any size speaker in there, but you will have to trim out metal. The hole in the door is only big enough for a 5.25, but you can cut it out larger for a 6.5 like I did.
  5. You need to loosen all the bolts on the power steering pump. There are 2 on the back 1 one the bottom 1 on the front then there is an adjustment screw underneath.
  6. I have wearever golds on my XJ and Silver on my MJ. Don't notice any difference between them yet but both work great.
  7. Ok but if I get 15x8s will stock tires fit on them until I buy the 31s?
  8. Ive had my MJ for 2 years now and I'm 21 almost 22 now.
  9. Ok so I am buying new rims for my truck because I want the wheels to stick out further than stock. IMHO the stock wheels sticking in soo far looks terrible. I used to have a set of AR outlaws on my mj and they looked much better. I am looking at wheels that are 15" and 15x7. I want to use my tires I have now that are 235/75-r15 on them. In the near future I will be buying a set of BFG T/As that are 31x10.5 R15. Will these fit on 15x7 rims or should I go with 15x8s instead?

Are you moving or writing a book? :rotf:
  11. Go to a junk yard and pick up a used one from an 87-90 MJ or XJ 4.0 and try that first. It will save you some $$.
  12. Sounds like you should try a new distributor.
  13. :agree: I have replaced distributors many times, but I have also thought I had it in the right place after a motor swap. I once spent 3 hours messing with my Jeep only to find out I had the dizzy in 180 out! :dunce:
  14. :rotf: Welcome!
  15. The shoes are less than 3 weeks old and the wheel cylinders were fine. I replaced the pads today, and the rotors and calipers are about 1 year old. I am gonna try flushing the fluid tomorrow.
  16. Anyone? :dunno:
  17. Ok so lately my brakes have been getting bad. I checked the booster check valve and it is good and there is plenty of vacuum. The pedal is hard after 3 pumps with engine off and it fades to the floor when I start the engine. When stopping at speeds higher than 35mph you have to press the pedal very hard to stop. Could this be the booster or could it just be crappy brake pads or glazed pads?
  18. I just installed a meyers 7' blade on my mj. It looks really big in the picture but it only sticks out about 8" on each side. I havent had the chance to plow with it yet, but you will need stiffer springs or a lift in the front. I have 2.75' spacers in the front and it sags quite a bit.
  19. :agree: I have a 2" class 3 hitch on my XJ and I tow with no problems. A tow dolly requires a 350lbs tongue weight so I would be very careful.
  20. :rotf: Sounds like my father!
  21. Merry Christmas
