  2. yep it will fit, id like a new one with the upper tint, local glass shops or safelite has them in stock. very helpful when driving with the sun in your face!
  3. No slack or noise, it will do fine.
  4. Tried to start my truck one morning and it clanked and went dead. As I kept trying to crank it, the jeep finally tried to turn over but there was a really bad misfire and clanked dead again. I looked at the oil sump and found two dents from the inside, seems that the rods punched its way thru, coolant was also found dripping. The motor is dead, i will be looking for a newer one later. It was gonna be replaced anyways with a stroker engine. However i did find a transfer case to match the AX-15, its a 249 from a '94 ZJ and will serve me well in the future. Not many use full-time 4x4 with a stick! The swap will be even easier now, i only have to do the engine, transmission, and transfer case at once. Only downside is having to get it towed to my work and finding time to do the swap.

  6. Lately my interior and dash lights have been screwing up, including the radio and cig lighter. Whenever the dash lights go out the radio and cig lighters go out too. I had suspected power runs through the headlamp switch so i pulled the dash and cluster off to get a good look at the switch. I couldn't remove the switch cause theres not nuf room for my hand. So i tried cleaning it with electrical cleaner. After a while my dash lights came back hut stays at full brightness at any setting when i turn the knob. Should i go ahead and order new headlamp switch? Of so how would i replace it?

  11. My tilt steering got way to loose i had to do something so began this long and difficult process to get to the loose bolts tightened back up. Glad its done and over with..
  12. Just got my new job at Jeep! On my free time i finished wiring the horn and foglamps. Its also been so cold my shifter boot broke off the plastic.. So i replaced thermostat and got a heater, turns out the 12V outlet is rusted so i ordered another one.
  13. I can't tell you what a relief it is to hear all this, especially on my birthday. thanks guys y'all been a big help. now I know what to get and I'm sure I can take it from here, I may ask some more questions in the near future about the transmission itself. Happy New Years Jeepers!
  14. theyre all medium inputs. looks like I have to get 2 t-cases to make one work. or just get a 231 from a wrangle AX15, then i can deal with all this when I have more time in the future.
  15. newer is always better, I will be getting a 94+ 242. it seems that I won't be able to find a factory, 23-spline, short input gear 242 from 94+. even if it does exist what vehicle would it be from.
