  1. I never go to autozone they are terrible. However my local advance auto has a few great employees. I actually bought my chevy drop shackles from one of their employees.
  2. Ok thanks guys. I actually just found a set of 31s mounted on D window steelies for 350 so I think I will pick those up tomorrow and sell mine.
  3. I might have 15x8s.. I'm not sure. I have AR Baja chrome wheels with 31x10.50 tires now and the tread sits flat across, but they are almost shot. I bought the jeep with the wheels on them and there are no markings visible. EDIT they are Mickey Thompson classic 2s. I went to there website and they only make 15x8 15". So a 12.5" tire would be ok for them?
  4. Will 33x12.5-15 tires fit on my AR 15x7 rims?
  5. :agree: Clean your entire throttle body. I just cleaned mine a couple days ago in my XJ and it made a HUGE difference in idle, acceleration, and MPG.
  6. Out of curiosity whats the difference between welding new shock mounts on the axle tube, or using the stock mounts on top like Mjeff?
  7. The question is why is the 93 shaft so much larger in diameter than the 92?
  8. Anyone have an answer for this situation? http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/d30-axle-shaft-1170370/#post11007892
  9. Just found this site with MJ decals. http://www.jeepsticker.com/comanchesidestickers.htm

    Funny sticker

I just bought this.. I know its for a Wrangler, but its too funny and will find a place on my XJ. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280568776720&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT
  11. It says in the article that there has been no internal engine work.
  12. Wonder what kind of springs he has up front to support all the weight of a big V8. :hmm:
  13. Amazing.. but this guy must drive like an 85 year old woman going to the post office. :rotf:
  14. Also check the printed circuit on the back of the cluster. See if you have power to the IGN screw on the back of the tach.
  15. You should cut the exhaust off right after the cat and look inside. You have to replace the muffler anyways and you will need to cut it off there. If it looks like a honey comb then it should be good to go.
  16. They should charge extra for having to battle the rust. Not to mention having rust in your face and hair! :rotf:
  17. Yes, but that is a huge difference for 2 gallons extra.
  18. Should I buy my RE heim joint now before its too late, or you think I should be ok waiting?
  19. I have also noticed a HUGE MPG difference between the renix and H.O. Both my 93 and 94 XJs get better gas mileage than either 89 MJs I have driven/owned. My XJs get a good 80miles more out of a tank. EDIT: Both mj and xj had 3.55 gearing auto
  20. I swapped the 92 ECU in and it has been in and working for the whole day.
  21. Why not just lock the axle over all the time and not worry about it? http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=18415
  22. I'm not 100% sure but I think they might work. Can you measure them? The one I used on my MJ were from a 99 but I think the shackles are all the same size for all of the 1500 models.
  23. Sorry I am confusing myself. The 92 ECU will not work in my 93 so thats out. I guess I can grab one from the JY but they charge $50 and its a gamble. I am going run a new signal wire from the VSS to the ecu because I think that wire is intermittent. Someone has probed the connection at the trans connector against the firewall, so I think there may be an intermittent problem with that wire somewhere.
  24. I was just outside now, I took the dash out and tested the gauge itself and the circuit paper. Everything checked out good so I may just run a new wire from the ECU to the gauge cluster.
  25. Ok so I did what you said and checked the harness and checked the wire for continuity. They both checked out ok and the speedo worked for 27 miles this morning then stopped. Should I try swapping the ECU and see what happens?
