  1. Thanks for the info guys.just talked to someone on the phone and it was apparently aways an option but nobody ever wanted it i guess.Seems as though 86 was the most common
  2. I bought an mj soley for all the rare parts on it such as the roll bar and skids but this thing has factory power windows and locks.it was an 86.its deffinatly not something someone rigged up off a cherokee. Was this an option or do i have something very rare cause ive never seen or heard of this. I have them for sale here on the classifieds along with the roll bar, skids, and cargo lights.
  3. ya its a 35 trac lock(not welded) and 411.i don't know if theres any way of knowin if it was original.its buggin me now
  4. well i called up all the jeep dealers around here and it showed all the options it and how much it cost but no one knows the gear ratio.they said all the dealers run the same system.if any body knows another way or is signed up for it on a sight i would greatly appreciate it.
  5. well i tried to do it on the internet but all they will tell me is 88 comanche pioneer 4.0 unless i pay so illl just have rob do it.
  6. 1jtmg64p3jt065737.how can you run it from your own computer?
  7. yes i do have the link set right but there has to be something not right.what is so good about the proportioning valve up grade
  8. o .you work at a dealer or what.how do u run it.ill give it to u tomoro then.give me all info possible that u find.thanks
  9. how do you know if it has the c clip and whats that even mean.would i be able to give a jeep dealer my vin to get info on this or even vaig info of where it was boughten?or is it not in the computerers anymore cause its to old.I'm pretty confident the rear is factory 411.wonder if the vin will telll me so.
  10. no.how can u tell
  11. i know for a fact when he did the 4x4 conversion the rear axle was left alone.the front is new but the rear is either factory or was swapped along time ago.ill check the measurement tomoro.was there the option of 411 with any 4.0.also possibly the gearing was changed inside the axle when it was two wheel drive but i highly doubt that.
  12. well today i decided i better remove the rear flairs.i have had the front off but never the rear and i see a small sign of rust which is bubbled paint in one spot.plus i want to paint them any way.now i knew every bolt would break off and sure enough they did so ill have to drill and reweld new ones in.rust wasnt to bad after wire wheeled.couple pin holes in one side and other fine.ill just weld the holes shut and paint it.also got my steering stabilizer on.what color should i paint the flairs, bed liner black or red again.black would be easier but i was always a keep them the same color as the truck kinda guy.black kinda looks cheap and on mine that may be to much black with the wheels and tires. before i wire wheeled and after
  13. o just about forgot.this is off the front axle cause the rears missing.so this was off of an xj cause the 4x4 was swapped in.this is not original to truck.how can i tell if the rear axle is original to the truck.this is a random pic of it.doubt if it helps
  14. well i am for sure its 4:11.i gota picture of the tag.how can you tell by the tag that this axle is original to this truck?
  15. ever since i had my truck the light has been on and the rear brakes are so weak you can't lock them up in ice.i took the proportioning valve apart and found the piston inside was seized so i fixed that and now the lights off and works properly but the brakes are the same.also twice i would try to move my truck and it would lock up like something was in a bind.found out the shoe was catching on the drum so i backed that side off a tad and it hasnt locked up since.also the leveling agent on the back had no rod so i made another one with threaded rod and 2 throttle ball joints.its a tad up but pretty much level.are comanches just like this(weak breaks), or could it be the leveling mechinism or some thing else.
