  1. Thanks for the info guys.just talked to someone on the phone and it was apparently aways an option but nobody ever wanted it i guess.Seems as though 86 was the most common
  2. I bought an mj soley for all the rare parts on it such as the roll bar and skids but this thing has factory power windows and locks.it was an 86.its deffinatly not something someone rigged up off a cherokee. Was this an option or do i have something very rare cause ive never seen or heard of this. I have them for sale here on the classifieds along with the roll bar, skids, and cargo lights.
  3. ya its a 35 trac lock(not welded) and 411.i don't know if theres any way of knowin if it was original.its buggin me now
  4. well i called up all the jeep dealers around here and it showed all the options it and how much it cost but no one knows the gear ratio.they said all the dealers run the same system.if any body knows another way or is signed up for it on a sight i would greatly appreciate it.
  5. well i tried to do it on the internet but all they will tell me is 88 comanche pioneer 4.0 unless i pay so illl just have rob do it.
  6. 1jtmg64p3jt065737.how can you run it from your own computer?
  7. yes i do have the link set right but there has to be something not right.what is so good about the proportioning valve up grade
  8. o .you work at a dealer or what.how do u run it.ill give it to u tomoro then.give me all info possible that u find.thanks
  9. how do you know if it has the c clip and whats that even mean.would i be able to give a jeep dealer my vin to get info on this or even vaig info of where it was boughten?or is it not in the computerers anymore cause its to old.I'm pretty confident the rear is factory 411.wonder if the vin will telll me so.
  10. no.how can u tell
  11. i know for a fact when he did the 4x4 conversion the rear axle was left alone.the front is new but the rear is either factory or was swapped along time ago.ill check the measurement tomoro.was there the option of 411 with any 4.0.also possibly the gearing was changed inside the axle when it was two wheel drive but i highly doubt that.
  12. well today i decided i better remove the rear flairs.i have had the front off but never the rear and i see a small sign of rust which is bubbled paint in one spot.plus i want to paint them any way.now i knew every bolt would break off and sure enough they did so ill have to drill and reweld new ones in.rust wasnt to bad after wire wheeled.couple pin holes in one side and other fine.ill just weld the holes shut and paint it.also got my steering stabilizer on.what color should i paint the flairs, bed liner black or red again.black would be easier but i was always a keep them the same color as the truck kinda guy.black kinda looks cheap and on mine that may be to much black with the wheels and tires. before i wire wheeled and after
  13. o just about forgot.this is off the front axle cause the rears missing.so this was off of an xj cause the 4x4 was swapped in.this is not original to truck.how can i tell if the rear axle is original to the truck.this is a random pic of it.doubt if it helps
  14. well i am for sure its 4:11.i gota picture of the tag.how can you tell by the tag that this axle is original to this truck?
  15. ever since i had my truck the light has been on and the rear brakes are so weak you can't lock them up in ice.i took the proportioning valve apart and found the piston inside was seized so i fixed that and now the lights off and works properly but the brakes are the same.also twice i would try to move my truck and it would lock up like something was in a bind.found out the shoe was catching on the drum so i backed that side off a tad and it hasnt locked up since.also the leveling agent on the back had no rod so i made another one with threaded rod and 2 throttle ball joints.its a tad up but pretty much level.are comanches just like this(weak breaks), or could it be the leveling mechinism or some thing else.
  16. yep.wire wheeled tag in front and it says 4:11 and to be sure i jacked up the rear end and marked the drive shaft and tire.i turned the tire one rveolution and a tad bit more to get the drive shaft in the same spot.(got limited slip).so either i have a very rare find with factory 4:11 gearing or the rear axle was swapped at one time which i doubt.now you said this gear ratio is super rare for this truck how ever this gear ratio came when it was 2wd and may of had a different brand automatic tranny.i had the old tranny come with the truck since the guy beforme swapped in the tranny but it was sold while i was at work one day so i wish i would have looked to see what tranny it was.what do you guys think it was.it was for a 88 2wd 4.0 comanche.
  17. mine was gone too.and odds are they will be gone at yards too.luckily i found one in a glove box and one cliped on the back board.keep that in mind when looking for one.as for the windows it sounds like 86(the oddball year)had 2 sliders and the rest had 1
  18. if so find that post.youd be doin me a huge favor.
  19. i always wondered about the sliding window option.ive seen 1 slider, 2 sliders one big glass, and even a defrost glass.just tell me whatcha know about it.like did they change in the years later or could you pick.
  20. that guy didnt have a cargo light.musta read it wrong.gotta feeling thatl be the hardest thing to find.
  21. ya the cluster does put the plug in doesnt.only has the ground.
  22. got some pics off my face book- went urban wheelin with one of my buds-
  23. also for the loop being out of the way i figure if something hits that it will hit alot of other stuff.its not that low to the ground
  24. ya i know.i ran with no exhaust for a couple days when i was messin with the flomaster.like i said its just for fun(being loud).around here all trucks have straight pipes and i think its dumb.i like a muffler.so now when they rev their trucks at school the old jeeps gotem beat.lol never heard of a front drive shaft coming off.wow.i guess if you have the axle locked in all the time it would be kinda nice to have something there also.
  25. its the forth one down (the mean head light look i was talking about) viewtopic.php?f=7&t=27774 that is a drive shaft loop.if i break off the drive shaft or something happens this will keep it from flying around and breaking every thing.thats how i ruined my transfer case.now if it happens again ill be ok.i also sent you a pm.sorry didnt realize i was on the second page. hers the jack write up drilled hole through stud to lock it this is the home made bracket.yes its rivited and yes its plenty strong enough but with 2 people you can bolt it on as well this is the front bracket i made with a piece of hose sliped over so it doesnt viberate.my roll bar keeps mine from slideing right to left so if you don't have one just add another bend to the front bracket. my pro comp es 2000 steering stabilizer came in today my exhaust cut out came it to.this is just for fun only.their bad about leaking so i got a piece of threded pipe to weld in and have a huge boat plug in it.
