  1. i did try that.and it does have bulb but like i said the plug in to the guage cluster only has a ground to the bulb.theres no power and no terminal on connector for it. ok, i have a line running to my intake from my winshield washer resivor with a valve in between to regulate the flow.the alcohol in the washer fluid burns so by adding washer fluid you cut down on fuel because the ecm reprograms from the measurment. even on pulling tractors i see some run on part water for the power side of it. it produces steam witch then boosts your compression ratio.your gonna have to trust me on this.soon I'm gonna try the hydrogen kit off ebay.i really havnt heard any thing bad about it so I'm gonna give it a try.any body else try it yet?
  2. i don't have a rear tag but i do have a front.i will check that tomoro to be sure.now i swore these were the stock gear ratio that came with this truck(4:11) but someone said you could not get that with a aw4 tranny and 4.0.the tranny is now a aw4 (ausin) but not sure what it use to be.guy before me put 4x4 in.and he didnt change the rear axle.
  3. not a bad idea.the only reason i didnt do that is because fuel mileage which probably isnt noticable and my 4x4 light.well actually the 4x4 light would still work if i leave the vacume lines.maby i will do that because the lines froze up on me a couple times this winter and i didnt have 4x4.its like haveing a cheap posi lock without pulling a cable.

  5. how do u know what gear ratio you have.i thought you timed the last two numbers on the diff tag.
  6. i got a picture up top of the interior.if you want a different one ill get that and a pic of my jack for brandon today.the tool box is a montezuma tool box.they are very expensive.prolly up there with the most expensive things ive done to it.i got it from rural king.i got it when there was a sale on it for like $300 i think.other wise their $400.now the steel one is cheaper by a hundred bucks but all the inserts are welded in as the aluminum is bolted it.thats why i got the aluminum.i hade to remove one of the inserts.wish i would have got black though.could always bedline it i guess. go to next page for other answered questions.
  7. o and i don't know where i saw it but someone painted their head lights on the top black making it look like mean eyes.they look freakin sweet.i may do that tomoro.ill see if i can find the pic
  8. yes by 4:11 i mean the axle ratio.it was factory too.it came withe the 4:11 rear axle because it was 2wd from the factory and then the front was added.well i guess who knows what happened to it before i got it but i swear that was the factory one it came with.and yes i do all the work my self except for the stuff that takes two people.i got 2 mechanic jobs so don't have alot of time to work on it any more but with all the money I'm making alot will go into it.Learned most from my dad when i was younger buying and selling stuff and the rest i picked up on my own.made most of the money that i have from buying and selling cars.in fact I'm buying a j10 from next door for $1000.it was repainted, has new wheels and tires that are nice, and the beds lines.i figured the tires are worth that alone.it will be my comanche hauler and the one i drive one I'm workin on mine.plus ill have 2 jeep trucks.its 1 of 2 j10s ive ever seen around here so there rare where i live too.its 4x4, 360 motor, short box.if i do any thing to it it will be minor interior like radio and speakers and possibly a lift.but the maine thing is take off them damn ugly tail lights ans sheet metal it and put those white led ones that light up red.
  9. hard to believe but i know a few people that said these batteries are junk.now i have also heard that some upgrade to the yellow top and their fine.havent had any experince my self though.junk yard batteries work fine for me.(only $5 too)
  10. so i took the windshield washer resivor off my parts cherokee and took the second motor out for a brass fitting with elbow which goes to hose and valve and to intake.I'm running it partly on windshield washer fluid.my dads done it on many different cars all his life and it works.any way for my question, when i plug the senser in for low washer (new resivor has it)the light won't come on.i found the problem.the harness that plugs into the light on the guage cluster doesnt have a terminal soooo is there no comanche with a senser for low washer meaning we have another harness or what?really not to worried about this but i thought the cherokee and comanche had the same harness from the doors up.also they may have changed the harness later on in the years.(ho motor era)
  11. got some of the pictures off my phone. when i pulled up the carpet i saved the passenger side(surface rust)but some of the drivers was rotted through so i patched it and bed lined the whole floor of the cab. fixed the rocker rust which wasnt bad.tried to fiberglass cause i never did befor.big mistake.might as well use duct tape because thats what it was like.ended up cutting the rust, spraying white lithium grease all inside and cutting metal to weld it the right way.can't fine a pic of the finished product.but looks like it was of the show room floor. when i finally got gutty enough to cut the fender and flair.glad i did a flex shot.sway bars on front and rear isnt quite all the way. thats when i ripped the axle welds and drive shaft off.transfer case had a crack all the way around it. when i painted the trim i set it up to see what it looked like all black.actually looks pretty sweet.

  14. thanks.i still think theres something up with the 4x4 though.maby the fork is getting hung up or something.i feel like it has to be in the axle unless that is all jeep do this.

  19. this has been a problem ever since i owned this.at idle it will go up and down in rpms.its not bad at all but i know its not right and i just always wondered what it was.no one seems to know.also is a knock senser really need.i don't have a knock but i hear it hurts fuel economy.also what are all you guys gettin fuel milage wise.i got 33s with 4:11 gearing, 4x4, 4.0 renix, and a aw4 tranny and i always leave it in power mode.during summer i got about 14-15 and now durring winter I'm gettin 10-11.maby its just my foot and all the detours i take.But i guess for what it it thats not to bad.
  20. so my crank sensor finally went out and i find out that i have a high altitude crank sensor.i bought the normal because no stores have the other in stock.it actually runs the same and starts better.it use to be if i cranked it over after i ran it hard it would crank like a low battery but after letting it sit would crank fine.now it starts fine all the time.was the high altitude an option back in the day?and if you got this package what did it all consist of?
  21. first off what is a normal oil preasure reding.mine has mobil 1 10w 40 in it and runs about 40 cold at idle and 15 warm at idle.usually runs at 2200 rpm and at 25- 30 psi.also when i disinguage my 4x4 the light stays on and the axle is still inguages till i drive it a few blocks.i just put a new switch and vent in it.is this normal?

  25. thanks alot guys.well i wanted to by a mj like i described and build it my self but like i said they are very hard to find where i live.when i got the truck it had the 4x4 swapped in which is why it came with the cherokee, the lift, tires, head liner, bumpers and winch with out the in cab control the rest i did.i wanted to do it my self but for the money it was a steal.i paid $3800 for it and the cherokee. by the time i sold the cherokee, old tranny, bed liner, and factory wheels and tires i got $800 bucks from all that.so really i paid $3000 for it.i figure the bumpers, wheels and tires, lift, and winch are worth that alone.o and the lift didnt come with the track bar, pitman arm, or quick dissconects.i did that too.plan on adding 2 inchs as well.ill tell you what though there right about what jeep stands for (just empty every pocket).every bit of money or time i get goes into this thing.it really is an addiction.wouldnt trade it for any thing.well maby a milloin dollars.lol wouldnt that be nice
