  1. Where do you guys buy your u-bolts? I need a set for the crappy D35 but I am not positive on the size or a good source to buy them.
  2. I think you should give me your truck because you can't fix it... I will drive it home in 4wd and swap the axle with the one I have already in 3 hours.
  3. Notice how the XJ straight and MJ bucket use the same tracks just different pedestals. The only other difference other than the floor pedestals/brackets is the MJ seat tilted forward for easier access to the cargo area behind the seats. A XJ bucket on straight tracks only slides forward like terawombat said so it makes it a little more difficult to get behind the seats.
  4. An off topic question, I have a C8.25 in my garage ready to bolt in. Can I install that SOA(using the two XJ leaves) and still use the stock SWB driveshaft? Edit: I also like the idea of having better brakes in the rear and a stronger axle with 3.55s instead of the lame 3.07s. I would just have to pull some 3.55s for the D30 and be good to go right? If I go SOA with the 8.25 out of an XJ do I need to relocate the perches? Are they on there at the correct width?
  5. I'm not looking to spend $100 on an AAL. I want to go to the pick n pull and cut some springs off an S10 or something.
  6. I tried searching but I can't find anything. I am looking for info on bastard packs for the mj. If someone could help me out with a link I'd appreciate it.
  7. I'm not sure on the height difference but I think they sit at perfect height in an MJ, I am 6'2" too.
  8. I use XJ straight bucket tracks and bolt the MJ pedestals to them.
  9. If I were you buy a RC bar for 99 bucks and not mess with cutting and welding a CRITICAL suspension componant.
  10. Thanks guys, I did it on my 93 XJ and I didn't even think of wiring it that way. Its already done now and it came out great.
  11. I am installing a switch to turn the electric fan on. I am running a wire from the switch(on dash) to a 30A relay under hood then to the electric fan. Can I tie that wire into the fan plug AND still leave it hooked up to the factory wiring? I would like the fan to still come on by itself at 240 and have the option to turn it on anytime.
  12. Thank you very much for that answer! I am trying to lift 3" but I don't really want to spend the money for an ADJ TB right now because I am unemployed. So far I have 3" coil springs, lift shocks front and rear, long AAL, and chevy drop shackles. So I figure relocating the TB should make everything a decent lift for street use only. I am only lifting for looks and to run my 31" wheels. Eventually I want to add LCAs and an adjustable TB and go another 1" or so higher. Does all this sound ok?
  13. I want to add about 3" in the front of my Jeep. Would a TB relocation bracket like this work for me? Do I even need it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-Che ... ccessories
  14. I agree the search feature can be rather useless sometimes. Especially when your terrible at searching like me. :dunce:
  15. Just pry it open with a pry bar. Then replace the lock mechanism its held in with 2 screws.
  16. I will color in the needles with a black sharpie..father.
  17. I am asking about the other site because jeepwhitegauges is not available until July!! Sounds like RE...
  18. Has anyone ordered the white faced gauge inserts from here? http://www.whitegauges.net/products/199 ... auges.html

  20. Looks like they plowed some pretty big snow piles with that MJ. The bracket is bent down a good ways, wonder what the uni-body looks like.

  22. X2 on the Dynomax. I have one on my 93XJ 4.0 and its as quiet as stock but flows a lot better.
