  1. The doors, fenders, and other misc things went to scrap the day before you ignorant @#$%!
  2. It sure is smart A**. LOL Hey I would rather have rust on the floor where it can be fixed and never seen than on the body!
  3. The new MJ I just bought is making a noise from the bottom end. It sounds like crank bearings to me, can I just replace them and get away with driving it until spring when I can swap the motor? Does anyone have a link to a write up or some info on doing this also?
  4. Why did you make the rear door so long?
  5. The interior was so gross it looked like the town dump!

    My new MJ!

Started a project thread located here with lots of pics. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=27148
  7. Continue from my post in the pub: I stripped most of the interior, removed the fender flares, drained old gas, and removed bad starter last night. I am working in my carport which I framed in and covered with tarps so I can stay warm for the winter.

    Oh my:

I saw a F350 in Orlando when I lived there for a short while. Guy had badges made for each side and the tailgate that read: F420 Powersmoke

    My new MJ!

Already have the AW4 with full time trans case(whats its name NP?) just need a D30 and I have the driveshafts. Was going to put it in my XJ but I think the MJ deserves them more! LOL

    My new MJ!

I know you can barely see but do those rear bumper brackets look like anything factory or aftermarket? They don't look like they were fabbed up by someone in their garage.
  12. To add to Jeepco, also failure of 20 year old parts that weren't replaced and are most likely factory.

    My new MJ!

I could only snap one quick pic today but here it is: Been sitting for 1 year under a pine tree. It is covered in sap but there is a nice factory paint job under there somewhere. :peek: Picked it up for $350 its a 4.0 2wd with a D35 :ack: The drivers fender was replaced with a white one due to a fender bender and there is a dime sized rust spot on the bed. I will start a build thread with lots of pics this week.
  14. I have a set of black flares on my 87 I am picking up in the morning. (Bought it tonight). Take a look in The Pub section tomorrow night for pics of my MJ. I am taking them off because I hate the look of them the way the tires sick in so far with stock rims. I also have a mint black pair of rear MJ flares off my 89 up in my attic, front ones got tossed.
  15. Anyone here have to replace an exhaust manifold on a Cop Crown vic? Then drill out TWO broken studs that were flush with the head? :ack:
  16. :agree: Again I like ford trucks and their power, but HATE working on one when it breaks.
  17. Thanks guys, I was thinking of using the front stock bumper on the rear. Seeing as how it is not wide enough that would look terrible. I just picked up a nice rust free Mj so I want it too look nice. I think I will just make a bumper similar to $500mj's without the D-rings because this truck will never be off road. The PO already fabbed up some heavy duty brackets that are bolted to the frame.
  18. What are you talking about guys? They must know there stuff.. "The owner and founder of Omix-ada has been immersed in the Jeep industry from childhood". :rotf:
  19. My new MJ has no rear bumper and was wondering if anyone used a front on the rear?
  20. If there is anyone from MD here on the forums, Crazy Rays JY sells axles for $75.
  21. A proud Jeep owner like me has a rough looking MJ with a large sticker across the windshield that reads... "Its a Jeep thing... You wouldn't understand" A phrase that explains it all

    New profile

I'm sure Pete will love you for that one!
  23. :agree: A newly acquired MJ is usually mis-treated by its previous owner. A vehicle that hasn't been taken care of for several years will need the bugs worked out. Seems like all the Mj owners I come across fall into the just having one category. :dunno:
  24. I wish you luck, I was in the same situation last year and even knew who did it. Stupid pigs could give two Sh**s about finding petty thieves.
