Check out You Tube, there's several videos that go through the process, they should give you an idea what to expect. The install will be basically the same for most kits so even if the video covers another brand it will still apply to you.

I'm 6' and don't have 4" head room in a stock MJ, if i sat in my middle Dakota seat which is sitting directly on the tunnel my head would be touching the headliner. I measured mine against my other two MJs with factory buckets, .5"-1" higher than stock, that's with the Dakota seats set a few inches lower than the console. Could you post more pics and maybe some measurements so people can get an idea how they sit in there?

4.0l radiator is what i use too.

My solenoid box is mounted to the winch facing the crank pulley, perk of having a 4banger.

Very similar to mine, it works good but you have to be careful since you can't see how the cable is winding on the drum very well. I took one wrap of cable off the drum to help keep it from jamming up, that seems to have helped a lot, i recently bought synthetic rope to swap out the cable, I'm hoping it winds up a little smaller which should help too.

There's been snow just a few miles up the road from me for a couple months, I'm just far enough down the mountain that i don't have any at the house yet.

Easiest thing would be to get a multimeter and test for voltage at the pump. Also make sure the fuel pump ballast resistor is good, you can jump it out for testing, some people just leave them jumped out.

Thanks, that video was basically just after bolting the supercharger on, i don't think i even had the intercooler set up yet. It should really go once i get the new pulley swapped.

Another one at 3psi, getting ready to bump it up to around 10psi here soon.

2.5l turning 37s at only 3psi.

MJs got the extra brace around the LCA mounts, if you remove it, the LCA mounts are the same as an XJ. Typically people remove the LCA mounts when going long or mid arm on MJs or XJs anyway so it shouldn't be an issue.

The YJ stuff will work, but you will probably want a different wiring harness, you will also need a 91/92 MJ fuel pump and sending unit. You could make the YJ harness run stand alone but it will be much easier if you can find a 91 up 2.5l MJ or XJ harness. I ran 95 YJ stuff on my 89 MJ long block with a 91 MJ harness.

My MJ is MPFI converted and supercharged, Pete posted a link to my build. The MPFI conversion is pretty straight forward and pretty similar to a 4.0l HO swap.

Mnkyboys 89 Comanche project
mnkyboy replied to mnkyboy's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
Haven't posted in a while, i messed up my knee so i haven't done much with the MJ lately. I have been gathering some parts, i have parts to build a sector shaft support for the steering box, a new header to replace the one that cracked,a new larger PS cooler, an adjustible FMU, and a much smaller pulley for the supercharger so it will be getting a big increase in boost. Hopefully i can get on these projects here soon.- 798 replies

Once you remove the extra brace from the MJ the mounts are the same as an XJ, you can take everything off just like you would on a XJ.

91 and newer 2.5l intake into 86 2.5l
mnkyboy replied to Me&my86MJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My 95 stuff pulled everything in a bit from the Renix set up, i was swapping everything anyway so it didnt effect me. As far as i know these are the castings, it looks like there was revisions but i don't know what all would be different. 91-95 33007051 (2 hole PS mount) 96 up 53010244 (3 hols PS mount) The 96 up had the later seperate tensioner, i found the difference when i tried installing an AGR PS pump on my 95 manifold, it took some work but i was able to make it fit the early style bracket. -
91 and newer 2.5l intake into 86 2.5l
mnkyboy replied to Me&my86MJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My 91 and 95 intakes are the same casting #,at a glance they look the same. My 91 is identical to your 92 it says REV but no code but has AM on it which the 95 does not, my 95 says REV. Y . Since you say the bosses are different between them then that Revision code may be a way to ID the correct manifold. -
Mayweather TKO'd McGregor in the 10th round. McGregor being use to 5 round matches gassed out quick then Mayweather had it.
-
I'm curious as to what the outcome will be, Mayweather definitely has the advantage here being a boxing match but McGregor is a tough dude and is capable of an upset win. I feel like Floyd has this but inside i want to see Conor lay him out.

Nothing really big with the 4banger, normal maintenance stuff and it will go for a long time.
-
It will be a non disconnect but unless it has ABS it will have the smaller Spicer 5-260X joints. It's not a big deal though as the larger 5-297X/5-760X joint shafts will drop right in.
-
All XJs with a full time transfer case got the non disconnect D30. The disconnect D30 was used in 84-91 XJs with a part time case. Both versions were high pinion, yours is probably from an XJ that had a 242 transfer case.
