I use windows media player, you should already have it on your computer
-
yours should be about 30.5",i had 31s on mine for a while with a 5" lift and it didnt look silly.
-
they looked fairly stout but i had no use for them,i was pretty happy about finding the front skid which they had also beefed up.
-
with the truck level on stands i can jack up one brake rotor into the wheel well and almost lay the other brake rotor on the ground,my springs will almost fall out they are sloppy enough i put them in by hand without a spring compressor. so basically my flex is great  i think the difference is i built control arm drop brackets so at 6.5" of lift my control arms are still pretty level where yours are almost maxed out from the start.
-
I almost snagged it too but i had already spent a couple hundred dollars there, somebody had already opened the diff and tore the brakes apart. i found the drums a few cars over and put them with it. I also noticed the ring gear is chipped but should work fine. I did score a nice front skid plate off the truck. it also has a set of recovery hooks tied into the plow mounts that someone could use for something and it has the metric ton springs as well.
-
I installed the same arms a couple weeks ago with no issues. my measurements won't help you though as i also installed drop brackets,it would be good to keep in mind that everything might look a little off at full droop but its gonna swing forward some when you set it back on the ground

a rear main seal on a 4.0L is a pretty minor problem. i don't see the issue :dunno: -
is it the right gasket? If it is and just won't stay in i would glue it in with RTV to hold it in place while you bolt it down. if its not the right gasket or something is wrong with it i would get another one.

a harborfrieght welder is gonna stick metal together so you should be fine with any decent brand name welder Ive had good luck with lincoln, miller, and century. never used a hobart but i can't see any reason it would have problems. theres really not much to a welder, just make sure you buy one that can be serviced if you do have a problem or need to buy parts.

thanks for posting this  I'm getting the falcon ready to go back into service this weekend and needed a good horror story.

i can see the right setup driven easy get into the 20s,but some peoples MPG just seems insane. someone a couple weeks ago was claiming 38mpg from a 4.0L MJ on 33s with 3.07s,thats a good number for most compact economy cars
-
Its crazy how much peoples claimed fuel mileage varies, not just here as i see it everywhere. apparently math works differently from person to person. seems a good running 4.0L should get between 12 and 40 mpg :hmm: my family has owned 6 jeeps that i can remember, none of them broke 20MPG and two are 4cyls

I just converted mine to power last weekend. the reservoir from the donor was broken so i searched the yard and found a good replacement on a BMW,lots of cars use remote reservoirs just look around and you will find something close.

I put one of those on my moms Ranger,it worked pretty good although i always wanted to weld the adjustable part solid instead of bolts. I pulled it when she got rid of the truck and parts of it is gonna end up as a winch mount on the MJ

1973 the original Eleanor, my first car was a 72 so ive always liked the 71-73 mustangs
-
must have been a rare option. I'm thinking about going back for the springs and axle, the yard wants $200 for everything.

well got the drop brackets and arms in,the flex is great. i put my 5" spring setup in temporarily and it flexed enough the springs easily went in by hand. I also installed power steering today, got tired of manually turning my 33X12.5s hopefully i will have the truck driving soon.- 798 replies

should tow an atv fine, i towed a flat bed with 4 sport atvs behind mine with no problems. my 4.0L XJ tows better but the MJ does a good job

I have 3.55s and 33s with a 2.5L it sucks. My XJ has a 4.0L aw4 and 3.55s with 31s and it could use gears. I imagine 33s would suck and i wouldnt expect very good fuel mileage either

still not a single problem with any of thier products. My RRO bolt on SOA hasnt given me any problems although i don't plan to use it forever, once i get a D44 i plan to remove the bolt on section and weld the perches to the D44.
