  1. I have these coils on my truck,they ride pretty nice.
  2. you should be able to put in 5-6" coils or add a 2" puck on to the 3.5" coils and everything else should still work. nope. he'll still need control arms or long arms for that height, a new trackbar, and sway bar links/extensions. what i was saying was he could do the springs or pucks then everything else on his list will still work.

I would do DBs unless you can afford 4link LAs w/trac bar.both are great on and off road and at high speeds 3 link and triangulated 4 link are good for crawling at low speeds but i wouldnt want either on the road. radius arms/Y-link are OK for on road/offroad but not the best for either,these are the most common mostly becasue they are easy to build keep in mind these are just my opinions
  5. if you want SOA you need to be looking at 5"-6" in the front to match.

  7. to most people there are short arms and long arms and thats it, in reality there are different setup and types of either and thay all have different advantages and disadvantages. if you go long arm make sure you do the research and get one that works for you and the terrain your gonna drive on. IMO i would take DBs over a RC Y-link but thats just me. really for me i wouldnt want a LA that wasnt 4 link,but then thats just my preference.

  10. Far from "identical".... The RE braces mount under the tranny crossmember on the XJ, the RC braces do not go nearly as far back. Also the RE DB's move the location of the LCA further back, the RC one's do not. I agree... the RC braces are shorter... both RE's and RRO's braces go to the crossmember... but RE doesn' have a brace that works for the MJ by the time you add the brace to the RE bracket your about $200 more then the RC bracket,you could add the missing length to the brace for a few bucks. you could buy the RC DBs and have a fab shop build an MJ specific brace and still be cheaper then the RE brackets but i think the best option would be to just get the RRO DBs and be done. I have yet to have any problems with RRO or their products Yes the perches will work by themselves,I have the RRO ones on my stock leaf packs
  11. good to know. i noticed the brace but you can't tell the measurements from the pics and they don't tell you that info on the web sites. from the pics the LCA mounting looks identical,both are adjustable and look to be in the same place,have you had both side by side to compare?
  12. why would anyone buy an RE DB when the RC ones are nearly identical,come with the brace,and are almost $100 cheaper?
  13. If someone wanted to use an XJ drop bracket the RC brackets are pretty much identical to the RE brackets but MUCH cheaper. i would get the RC brackets and make my own braces or get the RRO brackets
  14. I would keep the D30 out of the XJ,be a nice upgrade for the MJ
  15. my brother got really drunk one night and did the same thing while praying to the porcelain god. It was like that for a while then eventually went away,took a week or so to go away completely
  16. My brother just took his PS3 to a repair shop and had it fixed,he was telling me that parts for the Xbox were super cheap compared to his ps3. maybe you can have it repaired
  17. I have 33X12.5X15s with stock control arms and 5" lift. they rubbed pretty bad till i did some trimming at the rear of the wheel well It works but its not an ideal setup
  18. IIRC it was the 1.9L BEW, i still have a few turbos laying around from some EDIT> it was the ALH engine not BEW
  19. I have replaced several sets of cam/lifters under warranty in late model TDI engines(non cam actuated) and yes the mechanical pump is bullet proof,the newer electronic controlled pump is not,some guys actually put the older setup on the TDI engines as an upgrade or for engine transplants

  21. VW TDIs eat cams/lifters and the Bosch fuel distribution pumps on them are expensive and have alot of problems. For a small car i would look into a Focus,Ive had 3 of them. All have been super reliable and quality is right there with the imports. you can also buy a loaded one for less then a base model VW

  23. yes the seats are adjustable and no i didnt massage the tunnel. eventually i need to take the seats out or at least the drivers seat to replace the park brake cable so maybe i can get more info on the brackets
