Emissions is a scam. Junkyard parts no matter what you’re looking for, are a finite supply. It’s hard to find pre 90 parts. 10–15 years down the line good luck finding an XJ in a yard.

The paint and decals look excellent. Was this truck in Canada it’s whole life? It just looks so clean (body wise) and such low miles. Somebody took care of her.

One other thing to consider. Get a home inspector! Not through the agent or landlord but on your own. Well worth the piece of mind. I realize you’ve lived there since January but there are always unseen issues that may arise. It will give you some more leverage as well. Furnace, roof, water issues, electric, foundation.....

I now find myself slowing down a block ahead of light on a green to try to time the change...and on top of that the pause between yellow to red is almost non- existent. Rant over... My $.02... Just an idea... You can spray pieces to color of your choosing. That way you don’t need specific colored pieces. They make some good matching spray paint for interiors.

Totally agree!!! This post went from a simple gauge swap to pulling an engine!

It sounds like he wants to swap out entire drivetrain and obviously make it 4wd. I’m sure you could sell the 4.0 out of the MJ. Probably figures( just guessing) the XJ has been better taken care of (and maintenance more documented) to swap everything as a unit. Still a lot of work.

Personally I think you will be ok patching. Those pinholes you should be able to clean up with a grinder. Seam seal your patches and those few pin holes and use POR 15 on your floors. I used some rubberized spray on the underside as well. There’s a lot of builds where guys patched their floors. Check those for any ideas. I put some sound deadening/ heat shield patch down as well. You are planning on stitch welding panels down? Rivets? Some other method?

Grab anything good? I’m kinda digging that front bumper.
