  1. On my scrambler, which has a 5 speed, somebody wrote in yellow paint marker that the fluid was changed at 95k with 75w90. I would also be curious about the 300 too.
  2. I've removed the vacuum ball and plugged the line on 2 different 97+ XJs in recent times with zero negative effects.
  3. Yeah they call for ATF. Seems 10w30 is the lubricant for anything jeep nowadays!
  4. Yes I'm aware ATF is what the factory says. I bought a reman np231 and the builder actually would void the warranty if anything but a synthetic 10w30 was used. That case has over 30k and counting now. But that ain't what this thread is about. Haha So GL3 75w90 -or- plain ol 10w30 engine oil. (I would use Rotella. Same as the engine.) Thank you.
  5. Seems to be conflicting things online about what's acceptable. 10w30 is all you need? I was thinking on using a synthetic 10w30 like amsoil or mobile one which is spec for some transfer case rebuilders. I will run this in the t case but is it ok for the trans? The trans is a 97 if that matters. All the the specifications from back then are obsolete today.
  6. Nice DD stance! Love it. You know 35s do fit with 3" of lift...
  7. I'd really like to own this. Wrong time. Like always. 14 hours away...
  8. They will be the same length
  9. I had that rusty comanche I was using. I broke it and patched it back together with some glue (lol) and sold it for good money 3 days before a big snowstorm this spring.. I need a real plow.
  10. Hit a milestone within the last month. Also... This happened. BOSS 7'6" Straight Blade Should be fine for my smallish area I need to plow. One less thing before the snow flies! Transmission issues turned out to be electrical. But I still feel I need a new torque converter.. And a new TPS. $350 from cummins is a lot for a electrical sensor; that will just fix the 200 rpm wonder at highway speed that's intermittent...
  11. I guess I always stop with the vehicle in neutral to go to 4lo...
  12. Sold my exploder to a guy that was upgrading his DD from a 86 XJ 4cylinder with 460k that he was driving daily 90 miles round trip to work though the middle of no where.
  13. You keep mentioning shop labor to work on your truck. That's around 80-100 per hour. Why don't you take your money and buy a nicer truck? Post a pic of the truck in question. Can only read so many words w/o pichers!
  14. I guess I'm more or less trying to get away from any fab. It has to be perfect. I have trouble with perfect. Ha
  15. I have seen it too. I think it's was a for sale ad.
  16. No love around here talking about hacking up a 92!
  17. Right. That's the plan. So HO YJ alternator bracket is the key for a Renix?
  18. TTT I'm gonna do this when I replace my alternator in my project. Anyone have any more input?

When I did my glove box investigation, I found that the last owner owned it since 2002. I'd be willing to bet I'm the 3rd owner. I wish the uniframe was in better condition, I'd drive it. Just not safe and pretty much impossible to fix to be safe for the highway again..
  20. 10w30 Rotella year around. -40 below to 100 above.
  21. XJ Wagoneer Grill/header
  22. I love JK wheels. Cheap and look good.
