  1. Pics of the Cherokee??
  2. This is always a option http://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-skid-plates/jeep-xj-cherokee-skid-plates/rustys-crossmembers-trail-tested-crossmember-1-drop.html The one I used. I have had a Ax15 and a nv3550 in my jeep in the last month. It works fine. With this mount. http://www.quadratec.com/products/76058_831.htm
  3. Down to the finishing touches on my MJ project and I been working out the last kinks.... This jeep has had trouble with tail lights, turn signals and brake lights since I got it. Well I found the issue after a hour of chasing wires.... The fuse spot for the hazards/stop is destroyed. The one was that was attached fell off. And it goes to what I imagine is the flasher unit. Here is what the fuse looked like before I pulled the block off firewall for a closer look. Looks like someone was in there before... What are my options? I don't know much about electronics. Is there a way I could just solder in a inline fuse holder? Where do I cut? Or do I need to swap the block out? :(
  4. There is zero reason why that would not work. I plan to use that exact part in my nv3550 swapped 88. I have TJ clocking. Nothing a hammer cannot fix.

  6. You are not getting it. The faster you go, the more mph your speedo will be off.
  7. Swap in a 242 and run the full time position..
  8. Impossible. The differential is a percentage, so any difference increases proportionately to the speed. In other words, if the speedometer is off by 2 MPH at 30, it's off by 4 MPH at 60 and 6 MPH at 90. Correct. Was gonna post relatively the same thing..
  9. Get yourself a Haynes or Chiltons manual. It will tell you all you need to know about this type of thing. Just over a quart I believe. Plain ol 80w90 will be fine.
  10. Gloss Rustolem Professional grade rattle can. It's a ten footer but it will be used Offroad. I'm not complaining. The truck is also terribly dirty from sitting in the garage for 2 years!
  11. 253k on my 'new' 98 2-door XJ 5-speed DD 201k on my dizzle tow rig which does DD duty once in awhile. 220k on my MJ.
  12. I got one. Shipping it was $100 to the other side of the country. Just for the transmission, no bellhousing. Pm me if interested. I'd like $100 for the trans plus shipping. Trans and shifter only. It's a working unit out of a 93 XJ.
  13. This should probably be moved to project MJs.
  14. Plow works great!
  15. It's been said already.... If you're gonna do the work, might as well do obd2.
  16. So it will start every time, just most of the time it needs the key cycled 5 times?
  17. 4.5" If you remove your sway bar, you'll have to cut. At least in the front.
  18. Sucks. All nice old vehicles can only be ran about 4 maybe 5 months out of the year....
  19. Ouch. Tell us how you really feel! I have a '14 JK and love it. Seems to be well built. No issues in 12k. Also have a '14 Patriot (wife's) that's is a absolute POS with 20k on it. My 98 XJ drives better and definitely feels like a better built rig. I'm surprised about your RAM comments.. I had a '12 outdoorsman CTD for about a year and thought it was a great truck...Everything about it except the light color interior that showed dirt like mad. We where thinking TrailHawk next year.... Might have to do some more research.
  20. Ugh... had to do some snow wheeling this morning. Even got the truck involved when the car got stuck in the driveway. Ho... ho... @#$%ing ho... it's that time of year again. :wall: Figured you where getting hammered. I have 1.5" on my deck this morning. LOL
  21. You just need to get out of the wide open spaces of farm country and move north to the woods. I wouldn't have it any other way! With out salted road would be the other way I guess!

    Downhill with a tailwind?
  23. There is a member on here putting a 5.9 in his MJ. Or it's already on the road. I can't remember.
