  1. I had a WK with a Hemi in the past. It was stuffed in there pretty good. I can't see one in a MJ. Although I would like too.
  2. Hemi is the 5.7.
  3. Ick... you can have it. :ack: Common! I understand the guys from Alabama but Ben!
  4. Boy he gets it done! That truck was inoperable last Tuesday am!
  5. I heard through the grapevine that they where having trouble with the 9-speeds trans.... Nothing to back it up tho.
  6. Comparing a modern Hemi to a say a 5.3 gm, the Hemi is a physically big engine! Anybody every seen a modern Hemi in a XJ/MJ?
  7. Wow they want blood for those! I don't believe they are a perfect fit but I will be getting these for my comanche when the time comes. http://www.quadratec.com/products/14254_7001_07.htm
  8. My new snow wheeler. Skidoo Renegade Back Country X 800 etec. Sure hope we get a bunch of snow again like last year and year before. Not much to speak of yet. Deep freeze next week with forecasted lows in the low teens. That means single digits at my house! Love it.
  9. That sucks major @$$!
  10. My next MJ rear swap will be a 8.8. Dealing with putting disks on a axle is a expensive ordeal if you are forced to use new parts. (Referring to the 8.25 I swapped into my MJ and used ZJ discs with all new parts except for backing plates and caliper brackets)
  11. I have them on mine. Factory JK Rubicons with the factory size mud terrain. 255/75/17 I believe. Also 3" IRO/Hell Creek Suspension
  12. But remember every TJ/LJ had a LP stock. The difference in strength is marginal.
  13. I don't think I've even seen Cornwell tools before! SK brand finds it's way in my toolbox once in awhile. Milwaukee is what I also use! Save for my Dwault grinders I've had for going on 9 years.
  14. I have broke more crapsman ratchets then the Pittsburgh Professional brand. Lifetime warranty on them too. My biggest complaint is not being able to exchange one extension or adapter, you have to get the kit...!! Love the ballpoint press too! No electric type tools.. Saws, drills, grinders etc for me from there!
  15. Doing work. Towing the JKU 2.5 hours one way to the dealer for a detail. It better be worth it. Average speed was 62mph, 18mpg. Pretty good!
  16. 4.56s are livable too. Heck this jeep above had 3.55s and still cruised nice at 70mph with the cruise on! Lacked power compared to stock of course but still ok.
  17. Yes and it's been used for lots more then that. Well worth the $$$. Still works great. Edit- 4 years old mine is. Oops I have the 2 ton.

    Rusted Out MJ

I don't remember him saying that it was a airport limo... It's got a different name. I think there is less then a dozen in existence and this one was intercepted on its way to the scrap yard by the owner. Maybe he will chime in with a little more insight...
  19. JKs in a junkyard?! We would be lucky to have a TJ in a junkyard up here! And if they are, they are so picked clean its ridiculous!

    Rusted Out MJ

Also, The owner of this last comanche featured, now owns the original star of this thread also. :)
  21. My new 98 2-door. After all the XJs I've had, never owned a 2-door. They are on the rare side. This ones got a 5-speed. Sorry to clutter your post pimping these pictures! I like 2-doors!

    Rusted Out MJ

New content for the Rusty MJ thread!! Neohic sent me a link to a MJ that was close to me for $300. I didn't have the need or time to go pick it up so I forwarded it too a friend of mine whom immediately called and set up a time for pickup. Well.... It was junk. Few good parts where harvested and some more put out to pasture for a rainy day. First the MJ cracked in half when he was moving it around with a skid steer....So we helped it along. And.. I needed a driveshaft. (Too long for my 8.25..) And the elusive factory gas tank skid. Rusted to heck but should be EZ to fabricate. NOTE: No MJ specific parts worth keeping where injured in this spectical. Including the DS tail light.
  24. You're going from a cable speedo to a electronic speedo.
  25. Your factory speedo isn't going to work.
