Not really much of an update but the battery cables and the heater hoses are done, so I finally have power to the truck . Going through all the power functions I found that when turning on the left turn signal the flasher starts out at normal speed , slows down an pops the signal fuse so I guess I have one more thing that I have to fix and I hate electrical troubleshooting . I've got a friend that works at a local glass company and I asked him a couple weeks ago if he had a windshield for a Comanche , so I got a call this morning saying he had one that was never installed because the windshield was slightly distorted . I didn't care as long as the distortion wasn't in the line of sight and it wasn't . I only had to pay for the urethane and his time and he put it in today . Here it is installed Ended up giving the truck a quick buff job , it is hard to make the upper half shine with no clear lol. The wheels the truck came with are pretty faded and the tires are dryrotted too so I had a couple extra sets of wheels but am undecided as to which ones to use . Which wheels do you guys think look better ?

I had discoverer Ht's on my Nissan exterra , they were good tires for on road use but I didn't get many miles out of them but my exterra was a heavier vehicle iirc about 30k .

I remember a thread a month or two ago ? Where you had extra/ parts vehicles and wondering what to get rid of , any of those have good tires / wheels ? The 15 inch rims would greatly expand the selection of new tires that you could choose from, or if you currently have anything with good tires you could run those until finances get better . I pray your daughter gets better ..

Positive . Just recieved it in the mail Saturday and it only lists 99-04 grand Cherokees and I've never owned anything else covered under any recall . -

Not really . The purpose of the letter is to install a hitch on certain Wjs especially with aftermarket hitches because iirc the aftermarket hitches may puncture the gas tank in a rear end collision because of how low they sit vs the mopar hitch that is the same height as the bumper . The replacement parts won't be available till September 15th at the earliest . I think if the law firm was collecting info the dealer wouldn't be installing hitches . -

I'll take $100 all day long , along with a brand new hitch too lol. It's only fair that you should get $100 also . The Liberty's had the same recall right? -

Krustyballer's hitch installed!
Strokermjcomanche replied to 87MJTIM's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think strokermj is talking about the piece of angle on my hitch that connects the cross tube to the receiver tube. If it was like a piece of 2.5" channel instead of angle it would touch the bottom of the Fey bumper so you could bolt it up. Nothing to do with the mounting brackets that you had to cut the leg off of. ^^ that's what I was referring to , not the bumper brackets . I just figured in your case that it would give the bumper a bit more strength . It was just an idea , again it looks really good . -
Fuel Pressure is low
Strokermjcomanche replied to daking's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Make sure the pressure gauge is not faulty by trying another one if you rented one from a parts store or clean the ground behind the left tail light .- 3 replies

Got a little time to work on the truck today . Finally found an ax15 crossmember, mount and exhaust hanger bracket , the crossmember was a little rusty but solid . Ended up getting it painted along with the t case skid . Then I put the radiator , hoses , a/c compressor and hoses , plugs , and wires on . Somehow I misplaced the power steering reservoir and I still need new injectors, a knock sensor , new fuel hoses and new battery cables before I can try and start it . Ended up also test fitting some body panels too . Half of the battery cables are missing so I'm not sure what length they originally were , so I guess I'm going to run them the way I want . I picked up some 2 gauge battery cable , copper lugs , marine heat shrink and battery ends , going to put them on tomorow and see what happens .

Krustyballer's hitch installed!
Strokermjcomanche replied to 87MJTIM's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Now, I need to install a 4- or 5-pin wiring harness. I think if you had another piece of L channel flipped upside down the fey bumper would mount perfectly to the two holes .Looks really nice !! I wish the hitches were around when I needed them a year ago . -
