  1. There is a 91 4cyl mj in my local yard ( unless it's been scrapped ).I'm unsure if the plug is there but can check for you in the next few days .
  2. I put the amber lens in . Yes there was Renault , AMC , studebaker , Packard etc parts there , but some parts would never sell .
  3. Going to look at one off of 91 s-10 Sunday for $50 . Supposedly it's reinforced and has "extra brackets " for use as a light bar too , well see .
  4. I take it you like them then ? This is a pic I found on bonkers weekly for sale posting . The cl ad has been removed .
  5. What are your guys thoughts on fastbacks ? Blind spots , aesthetics , function able etc . I was thinking of putting one on my red 88 instead of the sport bar so the down tubes wouldn't be in the way for hauling . Second of all , seems like the one for an 88 s-10 Lund 13020 would be the best fitment . Or maybe someone on here has one to sell or recommend buying ? Pic for attention . Thanks in advance
  6. I like this over the early ones too , the older ones look like random pieces of metal were slapped together with no regard to aesthetics .
  7. Just found it , 82203419 . Looks like it was either black or chrome ( opened my mouth too soon ) . http://www.moparpartsoverstock.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=885459&ukey_make=1097&ukey_model=15916
  8. I have the instruction sheet but no part numbers are on it .
  9. I think that's because of Strokermjcomanche's recent parts score. :) Yep. I think he has pretty well cornered the MJ mud flap market. I don't know about cornered , just fortunate to be in the right state at the right time ...
  10. Haven't done anything to the truck in the past weeks but I did find a 97-01 brush guard . I'll try to fit it up to the older front end to see if it will fit . The guy I purchased it from said he went to the dealer and ordered one for his Liberty but when he tried to install it he realized it was the wrong part . He never did say why he still had it after 5 years of being moved around in his garage ( which caused some scratches/ scuffs ) . Did these come color coded ?
  11. ^^ You never know who may benifit from the smallest / obscure parts . For Future projects
  12. Here's one that you can trim if Hornbrods lead doesn't pan out . http://m.ebay.com/itm/NOS-84-85-86-JEEP-CHEROKEE-2-DOOR-REAR-QUARTER-MOLDING-RH-BLACK-55003042-OEM-/190737547279?nav=SEARCH
  13. This^^ is what I did to change mine .

  15. You're good Don , you remembered part of it correctly . Hope I remember half of what you know now .
  16. My cousin is in the Air Force and I only have one brother . My brother just proposed to his girlfriend today and is getting married in roughly 4 months .My brother is on the left of course and cousin on the right .
  17. Western Massachusetts. HUGE change. But even my wife can't figure out how I lived in New England for 25 years, but seem like more of a Utah guy haha. have you been out to Colorado at all? have you spent any time there? I'm a firm believer that anywhere can seen like a cool place to live when youre there on vacation, but to actually more there and live there day in and day out is completely different that a quick visit. (not sure if this has already been answered). Yes I've been out there at least 8 times , a couple weeks when I helped move my brother out there 12 years ago , 3 weeks when I helped him fixing up a foreclosure he bought and a week here and there . I agree living out there will be different ....
  18. I'm considering a 8.8 4.10 yes .I can get a complete explorer 8.8 4.10 LSD or 3.73 rear for $175, just need to find a matching front axle and maybe one of your links will pan out . Youngstown will be astronomical in price but I will call anyhow . Thanks for all the links Pete !!
  19. Yes or You can get away with using a normal 6 point socket provided the nut isn't on extremely tight . Vise grips would be a last resort for me .
  20. I don't know lol , I just want to make sure they are going to be good for daily use / freeway driving and that they aren't going to be 3.55 gears . The diff cover is buried halfway in the ground making pulling the cover difficult . Is it still worth using the rear if it's a 35 ? If not I'd have to locate another rear axle and possibly regear , which is then more money then I want to currently spend .
  21. Pete : good idea to write a good and bad list ever since I was asked to move that's all I've been doing is weighing pros and cons and it becomes a big blur after a bit . Johnj: if I did move I would never be able to rent my house out for several reasons . Someone damaging the house , someone not paying their rent and me having two houses to pay for , and property values aren't going up ,they're going down . Ben : where do plan on moving to in CO? Anywhere near Parker ? Jim : thanks for the invite !! Ride 172 : I do know it is expensive to live there as my brother has been there for almost 12 years . That's a reason I would consider to stay in Ohio . GGcnash : I'm not concerned about living too close to the city but I don't want to live an hour away from any company I would work at either . I'm not interested in that type of stress reliever lol , that's what my trucks are for . Johnny : I wish I could clap my hands and be in Colorado , but it's going to be a long road . Where did you live on the east coast ?
  22. No , it's at a local jy . It was originally blue but now it's painted a darker silver / grey .
  23. I'm not sure where exactly this should be , but anyhow . I found an 85 XJ that's pretty well optioned , it has a 2.5 with an auto trans , factory front and rear tow hooks ( yes they have the additional brackets ) all 3 skid plates , and it has the vibration dampener (shock ) that was on the early 2.5s , maybe more stuff but we were in a rush to pull parts for my buddy's truck . I was thinking of using the axles to replace my 3.07 Dana 30/35 . It's lying on the ground and kinda rusty so I can tell what the rear axle and ratio is . I've heard the 2.5 xjs may have 4.10 / 4.56 gears and I can get the axles for $100 a piece if I pull the myself which is going to be a pain . I plan on running 31s with the 4.7 and nv3550 so is that too much of a ratio ? If that's too much of a ratio is anyone else interested in them or any other parts ? Thanks in advance
  24. That can for sure be fixed , I've seen a lot worse .
