  1. Good for you Shawn , now you can sell me the Eliminator .....
  2. Just some food for thought , narrower rear track reduces under-steer . Take a look at old sportscars with achaic suspention like our trucks used this narrower rear axel trick to improve handling
  3. I don't know if the old ones I pulled out were OEM or from a previous owner. They were a different length - maybe 5/8"(?) But at the parts store, they only sold 1/2" and 3/4", so I just grabbed a pack of each. I was worried about bottoming out the 3/4", so I started with the 1/2" - and they worked fine. Just regular grade 5 bolts with a flange head and no shoulder. Thanks , I'll source some from Fastenal (probably 5/8" ) and get to work on curing this ongoing oil leak problem , hopefully for good  Gord
  4. Shoulder is the larger diameter unthreaded portion of the flange bolt , presumably to define the RTV gasket bead dimension
  5. Was that the OEM size used before RTV gaskets ?
  6. :hmm: or Viet-Cong :rotf:
  7. :dunno: Changing V.C. gasket from RTV to Fel-Pro dry gasket , OEM bolts have shoulder and don't work with the dry gasket , what length(s) do I need ?
  8. Sorry , didn't mean to spread dis-information :dunce:
  9. That second port goes to the CCV grommet on the valve cover on my 2.5 , you have found your vacuum leak :clapping:

Blew my chance , local Craigslist : 89 Pioneer , 6cyl. ,5 spd. , Metric Tonne w/canopy .$1500 Cdn. , the pics showed no rust or dings apparrent . Like an idiot , I spent a couple days mulling it over then decided to go for it......Too late  So have any of you guys recently aquired a new white Pioneer ? :(
  11. Have a look on CHEROKEE TALK ref : 94 XJ Coupe Slice and Dice , in the Jeep modified build forum . You might find some his solutions will work for you
  12. Nice choice on 40-20-40 seat , kinda best of both worlds . I may finaly be inspired to get on with my "some-day " seat project  ( just a thought....some larger 3" washers would be a lot safer on those seat-belt bolts )
  13. Toyota Tacoma w/ 73" (6' 1" ) bed is the common cross-over , but not sure about cab hieght .
  14. It's haunted :hmm:
  15. I re-inforced the board w/fiberglass mat on the top ( roof side ) then brushed off all the loose particles/foam/glue and brushed /rolled a couple coats of matte finish acrylic-latex paint . Did the home made fix 5 years ago , still looks great and its washable .
  16. :huh???: Don't you have a 2nd Comanche ? You could try peeking at it to see how it all goes together . Also flare bracket studs can be drilled out and replaced with nuts, washers & bolts (try stainless ) .
