  1.
  2. That sucks, tree fell on your truck, hope the honeymoon made up for it. ;)
  3. I have a V8 MJ dragster build floating around in my head...one of these would be perfect.
  4. Move along people, nothing to see here, its just another city boy who can't use a wrench.
  5. Chickens are good defense against smaller snakes, Guineas are better but too darn loud and annoying.
  6. I use Flikr, you have to click the three dots on the right side of a picture screen, click the option to "download all sizes" then "view all sizes" then choose whatever size you want, then right click on the picture and choose "copy image location". Just paste that into pop-up box and hit enter. The only difference between image sizes is the last letter in the url. B is the large pic below S is the smaller. It'll give you about 15 or so options. Also when you click those three dots there are options to add effects or to rotate the pic. Its kind of a convoluted way to do it and there may be a better way I don't know about.
  7. Just like the Mavs vs the Heat in 2011, good team ball vs individuals always wins! GO SPURS!
  8. Yeah, I'll fiddle with copperheads all day long, but I won't mess with a big rattler or a moccasin. I'll step on em with my robot leg and let em get a mouthful of carbon fiber but my hands ain't going anywhere near em.
  9. Consider leaving the springs and shackles as is and going back spring under.
  10. Every year I get a lot of snakes in the backyard. Our old beagle got bit on the snout several times. Yesterday we caught our pup "Jessie" barking at the ground, went out and found this guy. He was little, about 18 inches long. Sure enough, she got bit and her upper lip swelled up an hour later. She won't stay still for a picture, if you come near her she just rolls over for you to rub her belly, she's such a good pup, She's only about 6 months old and I bet she was just curious about the snake. She got nailed on the left side. The swelling is down this morning, hopefully she learned a good lesson.
  11. Of all the Jeeps I've owned, my MJ is probably the only one that I have some sentimental attachment to. But I would sell it if the right buyer came along. I wouldn't sell it to anyone that shaves their chest or utters the word "mud" or mentions "44s", or anyone that thinks its a Toyota.
  12. I'm telling you the redfish are jumping in the boat right now like them carp up in Illinois, you guys are missing out.
  13. We have a game like this in the house whenever we're watching WWII shows, its easy, just yell "Jeep" each time you see one. Its a pretty constant yelling match with the kids.
  14. You're 3 hrs from me...
  15. I'd start reading through the DIY and Project forums, dig way back in the project forum also, lots of good "old" info there. Also, I think you should rename the thread or your truck the "Hurtin' Albertan",,,,after Corb Lund and his band.
  16. My current box isn't that bad but that little extra effort turning right over the last 15K or so miles has resulted in the leather steering wheel cover very slowly making a 360 around the wheel. No one else would notice, but I do and its just one of those little ankle biters that really gets on my nerves.
  17. If you pull a box from a JY, just take a real good look at the pitman arm seal and check for any sort of leaks. Also, try to get one with the lowest mileage you can find. Its a crap shoot on JY boxes...but still probably the cheapest solution. When they start to leak, they'll leak bad, real bad, lots of pressure from the pump going in there. Even a leaky one can be rebuilt with hand tools pretty easy...just google up "jeep saginaw steering box rebuild". Looking for my 4th box for my dd ZJ, already used the spares I had in the garage and the current one takes more effort turning right than left...I should just buy a rebuilt unit... but I'm just too cheap to buy one and too lazy to rebuild one.
  18. What is that under the front axle? A secondary sway bar maybe?
  19. Looks pretty good, I like the winch/brush guard.
  20. You're not allowed to go wheeling with the Gipper anyway till we see that 500 ci Caddy powered MJ you promised us a while back.
  21. I'm diggin' the cabin too.
