If you run dual batteries connected on the same charging system, they need to be the same capacity and ratings and age...twin batteries essentially.- 31 replies

Crank Turning Price
Comanche County replied to TheDirtyJeep401's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Stroker time. Use a 360 or 401 crank.....check out the AMC forums for details on that. http://theamcforum.com/forum/401-crankshaft-into-a-304-block_topic5671_page1&SID=411018452aad88d28152c3d6aee699461805556.html -
Looking good, I'd move the plate off the grill, not a big deal but blocking a bit of air flow.

oh yeah, duct tape and bailing wire, lots of it. Maybe a spare battery and a good set of jumper cables and a couple of 6011 rods so you can stick weld if you had to. Also get a block of dry ice and put it in the bottom of your cooler, then pack the ice and beer on top. You'll have ice for days....a lot cheaper than a yeti cooler. third edit: a .22 pistol with rat shot for snakes. fouth edit: get some Chevy drop shackles, will give you an inch or two of lift in the rear to help with the weight of the gear in the back. Most auto parts stores have em.- 31 replies

Was gonna say pucks and 31" TA KOs, but you're on it. I'd add an jerry can for fuel, first aid kit, good fire extinguisher, a 20-30 gallon water tank for drinks and showers (navy baths) - just use an ice chest, hi lift, extra serpentine, extra engine sensors - all of them, extra oil, coolant, gear oil, PS fluid, 3-4' of heater hose, spare rad hoses, maybe a spare alternator and ECM, Some of those JB weld sticks in case you puncture the oil pan, couple tubes of RTV, spare water pump, Army Poncho liner - no need for a sleeping bag it'll be too damn hot, bug spray, pillows, hammock (just hang it off the back of the truck to another vehicle as trees will be sparse) add in a couple of tarps for shade, HF solar charger for the battery and whatever gizmos you bring or an inverter, a good offroad GPS one with topo maps, a big cooler with lots of beer. What else did I forget?- 31 replies

Look, I don't want any bad blood between us and our dearest northern Canada MJ buddies. So you guys cool it. I love Canada even though they talk funny and use monopoly money to buy their eggs and groceries...I don't want bad blood going here on CC.....So I'm officially changing the Olympic standings to reflect a more natural and objective criteria...because hockey talk will always result in fists thrown.....we don't need that guys! The new criteria is.....the country with the most beautiful figure skater wins. There are no objections or appeals allowed. I officially award South Korea as the winner of the games. Yuna Kim is like a pure mixture of molten gold and milk chocolate covered strawberries pored over a giant sugar cone of cotton candy dripping stardust and radioactive unobtainium on your fingers. Look, she's the champ. We can't compete with that. Don't even think about it. We give up. Second place goes to Austria, because of Anna Fenninger, you thought cheetah clothing was only for the obese southern woman in walmart at 3 am....but you'd be wrong....Cheetah style is back....and its a good thing. No, she's not a skater but I'm allowed to change the rules as I like,,,,until the Olympic committee gives me grief about it, she stays. I'd bet she could skate if she had to. Third place goes to.... well I haven't got that far yet. Give me a day or two to figure it out. :dunno:

Keep that gear box, got two I'm about to rebuild. -
Don't get me started on boxing. My favorite winter event is the downhill Super G. That is skiing IMO! I think we've had some hard breaks so far. An Olympic Gold requires absolute perfection and we've been close but mishaps and slips have bit us in the behind. To be an Olympian requires a lifetime of devotion to the sport. They only get one chance in the games, and every country's athletes have probably performed "perfect 10s" in their respective events 1000 times in practice....its kinda heartbreaking to see an athlete, from any country, make a mistake when you know they trained so hard.
