Genius. I never thought about installing a needle fitting on the lower joint. I have a few sets of ball joints to install this winter and will try it out. Thanks for the idea!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230870245775 Again. I am surprised it only went to $1,100. Figured somebody would put down $2,500. At least that is what I believe it should sell for.

Will box it up tonight and leave for the postal carrier tomorrow morning :)

Thank you for the new ring tone. My wife just rolled her eyes. While I don't particularly like 80's pop, its better than today's pop. -
I plan to place my order on black friday. I don't know what rig I will put it on, but by-golly I won't miss out on the bumper again.

Cleaning Inside "frame"
87Warrior replied to dfreeman616's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I used a 3M wand and attached it to my UPOL Raptor gun to apply the por15 product line to the inside of my frame. The frame is made of several channel so be sure to go in and out of EVERY opening in the frame. My 92 build page has a few more details on what I did. -
I honestly don't remember. Cost will depend on what brand you go with (i.e. Moog vs the parts store brand).

Ahh, makes me want to take mine out and cruise the creek bed.

Bingo. Let gravity do the hard work for you. -
The hood is still attached. I feel led on.

Offer what you think its worth and ask to have that scarecrow thrown in ;) Seems like the price is on par with the rigs for sale in KS.

Seems the forum won't send my PMs via tapatalk. Sorry about that. My paypal is brolfs @ ksu . edu I have a few mailing boxes in the basement and could get it picked up tomorrow by the mail carrier.

No Bleeder On External Slave
87Warrior replied to flint54's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
They are real easy to bleed. 1. Hook up the master, line, and slave, but leave slave hanging under the truck. 2. Fill master. 3. Remove the plastic transportation straps from the slave. 4. Hold the slave vertically and manually operate the slave by pushing the rod in and out. 5. Keep an eye on the fluid level in the master and keep it topped off. 6. Replace plastic transportation straps on the slave and install it in the bell. 7. Clutch should be good to go :) -
Summer? Moab? HOT! I have been talking to a buddy about a possible run to Moab in 2013. No idea about dates so I am just subscribing to the thread.

Mix your tractor paint with hardner. Do not apply bed liner to the frame, paint only. If you get a good coat of paint on it there is no reason to even consider undercoating. Bed liner is not designed to be used as an undercoating.

Sounds like the folks who want $1500 for a non running rust bucket and threaten to scrap it when folks offer $500 to buy it. I don't get it.

Welcome to the madness. Now post some pictures of your new ride.

Dana 44 Limited Slip Options.

What about a selectable locker that contains Trac Loc? I will be installing the carrier from a TJ Rubicon rear axle in my MJ D44. I found it for around $300 shipped. It too is actually a 3.07-3.73 carrier and will require the thick cut gears to go 4.10 (just as a factory TJ Rubi is). It is direct fit with the exception of one carrier bearing that needs notched for the Rubi airline to pass by. Can't find a rear TJ Rubi carrier? You can use the TJ Rubi front carrier in the rear as well if you are ok with a simple selectable locker (no trac loc). -
Extremely Rusted Floor, Suggestions Please!
87Warrior replied to darkenfire's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yes. But any aftermarket replacement floor pans you buy for the MJ will require more 'massaging' than panels cut from an XJ. Why? I have never found a replacement floor pan specifically for the MJ, regardless of what the manufacture says/claims. They are just poor fitting XJ pans marketed as MJ parts.- 41 replies

Pretty clean. It looks like the back of an XJ met the back of an MJ. The roof is definitely all XJ, its not 'bubbled' like the MJ roof line.

I was hanging on to this passenger side light because it has a decent lens (fine scuffs and one smear), but I have a few sets I am hoarding and can let this go. The housing is a bit damaged, but could be patched and sealed for many more years of service. $25 shipped USPS flat rate. If its too rough for your rig, my feelings won't be hurt.

That dang song is stuck in my head as well as my wife's. I am going to watch it again:) -
I know there are a few of us in the KS/MO area. Does anybody want to spend a weekend wheeling Tuttle Creek near Manhattan, Kansas? I am dying to get up there with the MJ and think it would be awesome to see a few MJs running the trails? Anybody?

You did better than I with those bumper bolts. I snapped all of them on my 92, even with excessive heat. Nice work :)
