  1. Looks like a Shock mount?
  2. Yea....it starts a little slow....but picks up near the end....I won't lie....I cried a bit at the finish.....
  3. CPS..................it will work till it heats up the stop till it cools down
  4. You can get an axle out of any 2wd MJ or XJ.....with all the upgrades to 4x4 on this site someone should have one out there. A load scale like mentioned above might give you a rough idea but if you want to dial it in you need to find your local dirt track and talk to some of the guys running super stock or open wheeled modified. They will have a set of scales (one goes under each wheel) that will allow you to dial it is right were you want it. While you are there take a look at the suspension set ups and ask some questions on how they set up the cars......some guys come up with some very unique ways of tuning the suspensions so that you get the power to the track were you want it.
  5. It should have the good muti-bladed electric fan as well.....if he is offering the rear might be a 8.25....
  6. Looks to be an insert that would be threaded in to allow this unit to be used on one with a larger hole...... :dunno:
  7. It is called a G80 Found in their turbo cars.......if you could find a turbo Volvo wagon it would probably have it......I will see if i can find years and models
  8. No gas in tank...............................................
  9. I think you would have to remove the tank and install the whole take and pump together.....then somehow you have to get a trigger to turn the pump on and off.... :hmm: ...I think the pump will supply more fuel than the carb needs..... :hmm: ....... You don't have an old SB Chevy kicken around? I think that Mech pump is the same
  10. I can't get that link to work..... :dunno:
  11. Applying to be Mr. Oshel's apprentice.
  12. I have had it in a TJ, XJ, and an MJ....It does not have all the power of the HO 4L.....but for a daily driver you can't beat the mileage.....
  13. That is $300 more than it it is worth...IMHO....and I only valued it that high because it had discs... :dunno:
  14. The bilge switch actually comes in handy....
  15. Free is one of my favorite words.....
  16. If you use mj spring plates the shock mounts are there already.
  17. Your Chain is stretched....That is the "POP".....The reason you do not notice on dry pavement is that all the tires are rotating at the same speed so there is no stress on the chain....In the mud the rear tires have power and spin....the front want to spin but can't because POP the chain jumps off the cog. . :MJ 1: . Chains are easy to change....search the site there is a nice write up with pics.....
  18. Sure Bleeding it can't hurt it.....with all do respect you doe know the correct way?
  19. Get a relay mount it under the hood Wire it like this.....Run # 86 Through the switch to an accessory on your fuse box...That way they turn off with the Key
  20. Do you see bubbles rising up in the reservoir when you push the pedal down? If so it is either that #11 has collapsed or #9 has worn out You probably need to work on your master......you can pick on up and install it easy........ If you are interested here is a link on how to fix it if it is the #11 spring that has collapsed... http://comancheclub.com/topic/41742-clutch-master-rebuild-mod/
  21. 2 Quick tests have a partner help press the pedal 1) Take off the top of the master and press down on the pedal.....if the fluid goes up or bubbles it is your master. (is there leaking in the cab were the master is located?) 2) Same thing but look below.... is fluid leaking?.....from the line or the bell housing That will narrow it down to upper or lower and you can go from there.
  22. If you do not have gauges I think the oil light would go on as well.
  23. I would be interested in an educated answer myself. Experience taught me the only advantage (that I can see) is that if you pull a Renix motor it limits the amount of harness you have to undo.... :dunno: ...I do not know if that was the intended purpose.
  24. Here is somthing I first used on a really noisey YJ that worked great so now i do it on all of my jeeps.....it takes a bit of time depending on which way you go....might be worth a try.. Dr. YXMJ’s Oil Wash… There are 2 ways 2 do this the quick way and the extreme (right) way… Quick Way Go to your low budget auto supply store (Walmart??) and buy the cheapest motor oil and filter you can find. Also buy a high quality (I run 10W30 synthetic oil and filter) Go home and check your oil…..I would assume it is down ½ -1 quart Add (here is where different recipes come into play) your choice to top up….ATF….Sea-foam (my favorite)…..Diesel fuel…. Run the truck up to operating temp shut off and safely and carefully change the oil as usual. Change to cheap filter and add cheap oil…….(here is where some more sea-form is nice). Go for a drive or run the motor for 20 min. Shut off and safely and carefully change the oil as usual. Now add the good oil(10w30) with a new good filter……..Did that solve it? Extreme Way Go to your low budget auto supply store (Wal-mart??) and buy 2 complete changes of the cheapest motor oil and 2 filters you can find. Go home and check your oil…..I would assume it is down ½ -1 quart Add (here is where different recipes come into play) your choice to top up….ATF….Sea-foam…..Diesel fuel….(I love the sea-foam) Run the truck up to operating temp shut off and safely and carefully change the oil as usual. Change to cheap filter and add cheap oil…….(here is where some more sea-form is nice). Go for a drive or run the motor for 20 min. Shut off and safely and carefully Drain the oil Now drop the oil-pan and remove the valve cover….take both to your parts washer or a least a tub with some Varsole (you single guys can use the kitchen sink….the married ones know better) and clean both until you are willing to eat eggs out of them. (If you want now is a good time to add some fresh paint). Replace both with new gaskets or high quality RTV silicon. Change to your second cheap filter and top up with NEW cheap oil. Drive down to the auto parts store and buy a high quality (I run 10W30 synthetic) oil and filter. Listen to you motor….is it getting better?? At home drain out that new cheap oil and change the filter to the good one….fill up with the synthetic I hope this Helps someone out there
