  2. Would be nice....but the 3.07s....cheaper to just weld mounts on a correctly geared8.8
  3. NEVER ASSUME YOU THINK YOU KNOW WHAT ANOTHER DRIVER IS GONNA DO! My favorite... "If Harley Davidson made airplanes, would you fly in it?" FWIW I love Harleys, own 2 of them, and yes I would. Just like wheelin, aint an adventure unless somethin happens. lol Bring a parachute... And the MoCo sucks, never spend my money there unless I absolutely have to.
  4. Congrats! Somewhere else for all your money to go....
  5. Nope The problem with expensive MIG welders is: They make you look at everybody else's cool stuff, make you dream of all the cool stuff you can build, then take up all your time building all that cool stuff...Then you realize you need a bender...then a tube miter...then a bandsaw...then a....
  6. So....how much with the bumper? And I don't care about starting a sentence with SO....or ending with lol
  7. Restated for my application. :fs2: Tried having a serious conversation about it with her and she won't even listen. As much as I hate to throw in the towel so soon, I say @#$% it... not worth the domestic. #1 rule when it comes to purchasing another Jeep....Just do it. Easier to beg forgiveness and deal with the fall out than to ask if you can and be told NO! :(
  8. No. You can use it to tack it in the correct position, then have welded by a 220V welder for proper penetration.
  9. All of the above....
  10. "Well, ain't we a pair, raggedy man".....
  11. Whats wrong with this ^^^? I've bought a few sets of tires from these kind of people... with Jeeps thrown in for free. For cheap :clapping: Reeelll cheap...
  12. "I got it from the internet, It has to be right!"
  13. I totally (Theres another one TOTALLY) hate the use of fricken or friggin...I mean come on now, even the teachers use that term in school. I mean if your going to say it with the intent...just use the correct word... F**K! or don't friggin say it at all! lol F**K sounds so much better anyways, can't imagine what I'm doing if I'm fricken or friggin the ol lady :brows:
  14. Or you could move to Montana, I rarely take the keys out of the ignition at home, we never lock the front door... OH wait! what am I saying? Montana sucks! Don't come here!, there is too much blue sky and wide open places, thousands of miles of open forest...
  15. with all due respect not knowing the 4.10/4.11 thing might indicate a need for farming this job out. I agree to some point. But I also heed the advise given by an old friend, "you'll never learn to swim if you don't get your feet wet." What I mean by this is that ring and pinions aren't totally out of the realm of a do it your selfer, if a person gets the tools, does their homework, a ring and pinion is not undoable at home. Granted there are specialty tools needed, no shortcuts allowed' and things can work out just fine. Myself, I'm autodidact, and I did just fine. Four R&P at home, 2 D30s and 2 8.8s, 4.10s and 4.56s respectively. If this is a one time thing, farm it out, or if your like me, a person who likes tools and the knowledge on how things are done, then go the other way and give it a try, just remember, if your not paying a shop and you F it up...it's your $$$$.
  16. Took a while, but after conversing with the woman....I get it!!! ROTFFL Yeah, a little slow in the mornings....
  17. My setup, depends on shock length, full droop (with wheels and tires) then - 1" that's where I'd weld them.
  18. I've had cracks around my back glass as long as I've owned the truck (Chief). Top corners only, don't seem to be growing. And in the situation, I'd rather have a proper mounted "show bar", VS a NO Bar. FWIW, my Chief did have a factory bar at one time, but no longer there. Maybe it actually helped cause the cracks because of the stiffness it added, but being in the wrong plane to offer the correct total structural reinforcement.
  19. Thats so fn cool, look better w blown 501 and zoomies through the hood. Think I probably seen the cartoon.
  20. Side by side pics, poll maybe?
  21. Maybe, except for the chrome component.
  22. I attributed my "weep" to the fact that my non stock cover allows for more oil in the pumkin, immersing the seals. Now I pull the plug, check the level, call it good. FWIW, never have replaced or added oil after the initial rebuild oil change. Which was coincidentally when I put the non stock cover on. Oh yeah lots of non stock covers raise the oil capacity/level above the seals. Which is why I pull the plug to check, besides I can check for contamination more often this way.
  23. :USAflag:
