  1. Ooooooooohhhhh I like this one too. Dig the coffin top, and the lunette converter. Best thing is, now I know how I'm going to deal with the pintle/lunette issue on my M614
  2. I'm the OP so I guess so. Actually, like the Jeeps, any comment just about makes my day, Thank you. And the S-10 is a 91 4cyl, 5spd. Paid a hundred bucks for it (Like the Chief $100), about 6 or 7 years ago. Guy said the motor was blown, he said he was selling me the wheels and tires for a hundred bucks, throwing the truck in for free. Took the truck home cut the fan belt off, put a good battery and fuel in it and she fired right up. Since the truck was so cheap, I figured I could put a few dollars into it. Drop kit +/- $400, rear pan bout a hundred, and my time cuttin the seat bracket off (seats sit reeeeellll low lol). Kind of surprising for such a little truck, putting the seat on the floor sure makes it feel roomy inside. BTW, I'm 6 ft and aint slouchin behind the wheel. For having less than a thousand bucks in it (and 22mpg) I'm sure happy to drive it every day. (Even though it aint a Jeep) And posers of grandpa in his little truck

  5. Doesn't the washer just "push" on the bolts?
  6. can't say that I haven't thought about it. Although this one is older and a Bantam, http://www.ebay.com/itm/281693382905?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

  8. You could change to 1 piece axle on the right side, or you could change the whole thing (axle) to get the 1 piece axle right side. I did the previous cause I like the strength that the actuator housing gives, plus I get to keep the cast in upper control arm mount. I could say this year or that for axles, but there are so many, basically you need to look for same gear ratio, big u joints are a plus (later years and anti lock equipped), and high pinion. Search is your friend.
  9. :agree: Been fearful of opening the front punkin, but it keeps pulling, so oh well.
  10. I would have to say the common failure would have to be the (about) 15 plastic to rubber to metal connections that can potentially leak vacuum. Not to say nothing about plastic lines getting brittle and breaking, or broke off. Then leaks developing in the actuator motor, or water/rust in the motor or.... Jeep did away with this system and went to a one piece axle for a reason.
  11. Drive slower, use 2wd most of the time, 4wd when needed.
  12. Lockrite up front, 8.8 LSD out back, couldn't be happier. Like the fact that my locked axle is where all the weight is, makes sense to me.
  13. If you have a CAD axle, my suggestion is to keep that axle housing, switch over to one piece axle right side. I say this because the CAD housing is BEEF, just look at it...doubt anybody has ever tore the upper right side mount off of one of those....
  14. Just couldn't find enough justification for 3/16th. Went with the 10 ga. I didn't want bulletproof tank like, just some additional I guess I would call it "wear surface" for the rails. As far as durability, this isn't on a rock vehicle, it's a weekend wheeler that sees some street duty. So the occasional high center over a kelly hump type obstacle would be all the grief this thing is going to see. Plans call for more unibody strengthening pieces in the future.
  15. Was that the condensate drain?
  16. My condolences. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1120738&highlight=pete+trasborg
  17. Because the fronts short out to ground, causing all kinds of mayhem. Ohms law.
  18. Kind of sounds like a CPS issue.
  19. Find out which gear its in, start it with clutch in, let out is it in 1st? Then whatever gear you think it's in, index the shifter to go into that spot, or stick screwdriver into top of tranny move sliders to neutral, insert shifter in neutral location. https://www.google.com/search?q=ba-10+transmission&biw=1366&bih=602&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=xMtWVbS3KYubyASTjYCYBw&ved=0CCgQ7Ak#imgrc=SNMdn8NhEFSHeM%253A%3BVo4vFHuuY_1gyM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.wilsons4x4.com%252Fimages%252FBA-10.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.wilsons4x4.com%252FImages.html%3B541%3B372 Hope this image helps, you can see where the shifter engages the rails and sliders.
  20. Front sockets....they're the ones with the grounding issues that cause all the problems.
  21. Those and those goofy led flash lights, free coupons couple times a year for them.
  22. Internet is my friend... Interesting reading, learned much. http://www.prepaidphonenews.com/2011/12/how-to-get-tracfone-net10-or-straight.html
