Well after about 60 miles its shifting fine now must have just been something sticking.

My friends 97 grand cherokee 4.0 auto has been sitting about 2 years. I just finished up putting a new piston in and runs great. Its slow shifting into 2nd have to let your foot off the gas to get it to shift. Any ideas where to start it was fine before it was parked fluid level is good clean and not burnt. Hes having a tough time with money right now so its really tough to throw money at it.

Steel lock box bolted to the floor would help. If there out alone allot talk to them about being armed and trained and know the laws in your state for carry. Even if they don't like the gun idea there are other methods out there also.

Had a whole box full no one wanted it and I tossed it last year.

If the above does not work, Put a newer valve cover on it they have full length baffle in them no more blowing oil ever even when the engine is worn out. can't remember the years I know mine is steel and from a 2000 XJ.

Had several Ram chargers and full size 80`s dodge trucks really missed also a few 70`s. I would maybe trade my comanche for a Ram or ramcharger or powerwagon. One had 360 4 BBL in it my buddy had one with 440 4bbl in it.

My two friends are driving to Georgia from Pa to buy a Trans Am in a couple days.

Nothing to it I have done this only in the other direction 96 into 01 nothing to it.

It sold and now when you click the link ebay has replaced it with a china rad by another seller. This is another new idea from ebay I have not seen till now be careful.

Was the block and crank machined or checked by a shop? If its spinning somethings most likely out of spec or twisted connecting rod was it measured and how well?

Took me years to get rid of mine I think I sold it for $200.00. Its to big to ship so the market is VERY limited to your area. Others have got them for much less.

Must be rust free willing to travel a bit need doors and hood.

Buy a welder and learn how to use, it looks fixable but will take a ton of work.

I had a 1996 that had this type of sender had to buy a mopar one close to $400.00 NOS of ebay dealer didnt have one any longer this was after trying the one the parts store had. Could have been a late 96 also confirmed this on Cherokee forum before posting.

I think the 1996 sending unit has the fuel pressure regulator on the inside of the tank was used in 96 only and is very hard to find a replacement. Not sure how this will affect what you are doing.

Mine was acting up kind like this was the cam sensor thing on the dizzy no codes at all.

My bumper is a nates I made a plate that fits into the receiver held on with lighted bolts I bought from ebay (yes the bolts have lights in them very nice). Started to get in the way towing so I drilled a hole in the receiver tube and drilled and tapped a hole in the bottom of the bumper on the far right side so it can be bolted on/off there easily and dosent look to bad. Can get a pic when it quits raining.
