98 XJ 4.0 with the infamous no-start
sinkrun replied to Dzimm's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Advance auto parts has a coupon code online for $40.00 of $100.00 I just bought one this weekend and used the code. Had to buy a few dollars worth of towels to get to the $100.00 mark. Used the code got the sensor for $65.00. I would really like to order a mopar off ebay for $85.00 but could not wait . You could pull one from your parts rig?? if it works then order the mopar later. -

Rebuilding the front end
sinkrun replied to That_Creepy_Guy_In_The_MJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Spicer from amazon or ebay for best price. Anything else just is not going to last long. Lots of u tube vids for directions remember Cherokee front end is the same as the Comanche when searching. -
Thanks Rob for the pics this is just like mine. If fact the out side work looks just like what we did when he stopped. I will show him these pics I am sure he can do it he is a awesome welder just never did anything like this. I wish you were closer you would have a job.

Anyone on here ever replace a rear frame rail on a Cherokee? They guy welding it said it needs A whole rail he patched what he could. I would not even worry about it however it just turned 100,000 miles and has a new machine work and all engine in it. Really hate to see it junked. Its where the fuel tubes go thru he said even where its good it to thin to weld in places. And if I do this I will be looking for a rust free rail if someone has one.

Most insurance companys will let you keep it for around 20% less than the totaled value. I know its worth more much more however in a worse case you could keep it with clean title and fix for the book amount minus the 20%. Also it seems its time for classic plates and insurance so you can pick the value that is if you can it your state.

WJ lower control arm question(s)
sinkrun replied to Strokermjcomanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have factory WJ control arms on my 89 went by Petes pictures and have no issues either. I will go under it and take some pics later if the weather clears up. -
Dam that sucks sorry to hear that. Something My dad always did was slam his brakes on (in a safe place) once or twice a year old his old rusty trucks just to check them.

I just sent this to some in laws that voted for her. And no I am not going there for dinner Christmas.

Super new low Christmas price $200.00 if picking up in person if any ones interested I can take credit card also if it helps.
-
Found a old pic sadly its of the back side only one I can get until later gives a idea of size. This is a factory full size outer panel.
-
Asking $300.00 or resonable offer I will get some pics next time someone stops here that can get into the attic. I have a bad knee and other issues and just can do it right now. My zip code is 16680 middle of the state.
-
It can be done with some piecing its allot of work I have done it. I did not need to go up that far though. I have a new old stock factory long bed bedside driver side for sale if interested in Pa.

No insurance on the truck? That is vandalism which is all that Hillary supporters know how to do. I am your age (just about) and have it out many times lately with them, some older ones also. You should carry some crayons, hot coco and a crying blanket to sooth there feelings. ALSO, GET THE HELL OUT OF KALIFORNIA.

Manufacture says it for a reason whatever it may be and it may just last longer if you do.
