mini beast Project: Stock To Beast!!!
MiNi Beast replied to MiNi Beast's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
Well happy with the extra firm ride now and love being able to pick out where every bump in the road is. so now that the rear is little firmer and higher, I may need to deal with driveshaft length yet again. little vibes at 65. takes a little focus now to keep it stright though, seems to follow the road a bit. Now I know the steeri g is ready for updates which is why the tapped steering box in sitting on the shelf, about reckon time to get after that. Which means new parts and stuff for the 99 intake swap as well being it holds the newest style power steering pump setup. In the mean time it will do, i use two hands to keep extra control. I should still look things over and ensure things are good from the leaf spring swap. However I'm tinkering in front of the heater instead. Slept in and had quite a Relaxing day and thought i might repair my food box for the back of the jeep comanche. Now things are coming together with a better layout its time I do this repair that has bugged me since I bought it at the yard sale for $6 over 10 years ago... man time flys when having adventures. great adventures at that and I need my food box lid to stay on. So always what do I have on hand to fix it. Well thankyou junk drawers and all the great products Stanley offer. scored a couple shed lock hinge things. Those shall work great with well, per my typical repairs I use self tapping screws, but I think the riveting would be best and I have more of those then the screws at the moment. Plus i think the screws would work themselves out over time. whichever it works and I'm a happy camper! -

Creamirific! solidly treated nice, take care of it. -
Thats kinda the idea with the doubler as your front tcase will mate to trans and whatever spline fits must match. You only use the front half, gear box of the tcase and use the custom shaft to connect.

Looks like a happy man!

Would that be automatic or manual? Auto will be aw-4 and manual could be the puke-5 or ax-15.
-
Yeah you should get atleast 300. Ummm, check things out and we'll go from there.

While your in there ( Heater core )
MiNi Beast replied to Sly_Jeeper's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That bag is insulation as the floor gets hot with the cat just under the floor. As the black foam on the firewall is also for heat. I removed my ac/heater core box a while ago. (Less weight and wiring) So currently have no plumbing issues as have no heater core. Jeep gets warmer the longer you drive and actully will heat the cab up eventually in my highway commutes. however lately with the snow and all, the holes in the firewall just arent cutting it, in means of taking the chill out of the cab. If I wasnt to worried about weight savi gs I most definitely would install another heater box, kinda in a means of necessity and creature comforts. I recommend install a replacement and honestly be worry free from redoing what a good job you would do on the replacement. And I also would like to add perhaps check your seals for leaks. As common as it has been found, some have fould leaks from the crowl area or windshield gasket, door seal and even found water coming in on the antenna cable from behind the fender. worth a double check to ensure your floors stay in such great shape. I'm almost Flintstoning mine. -

Say what... ?? -
Well glad to see you here. Welcome and good to have you. You indeed got a great deal and a great MJ and look forward to them poser shots. I wanna say you have a owners manual in the glove box that would have the maintenance routine. If not, then you sould peek around on the sticky threads at the top of MJ tech, and their will be good info to help you with that and much more. My tip is keep the salt off it.
